Kim Kardashian bans selfies at her book signing

34-year-old entrepreneur, Kim Kardashian had a book signing at a Barnes & Noble in New York City on Tuesday for her new photography hardcover titled Selfish but she reportedly had selfies banned at the event. The new book features over 400 pages of selfies she's taken for nearly 10 years.

She placed the ban because she said she didn't want her awesome fans taking their own self-taken snapshots while plugging the new hardcover.


Upon arrival at the event held at the bookstore, Kim posed for photos as she held up her new hardcover portrait photography book, which released on Tuesday. She flaunted her famous curves in a stunning white ensemble consisting of a figure-hugging lace top and a split white skirt.

Picture Of 33-yr-old Truck Driver Who Kills Friend Over Food.

A fight started when I woke my friend from sleep to eat’By Esther OnyegbulaLAGOS—A 33-year-old trailer driver, who reportedly stabbed his friend to death on Monday night at Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State, has confessed that his action was a mistake he regretted.

It was learned that the suspect, identified as Tunde Azeez, allegedly stabbed Lukmon Ayedun with a broken bottle at 8:42pm during a brawl.

Vanguard learned that trouble started when the suspect purportedly bought food from a vendor, woke his friend from sleep to eat.His actions provoked Lukmon, who reacted by hitting Azeez and a fight ensued.

Azeez, a father of one from Ogbomosho, told Vanguard: “I did not kill him deliberately. All I did was wake him up from sleep so that he could eat with me. I did not know it would make him angry or degenerate to a fight, let alone lead to his death.“

What actually happened on that fateful day was that I went to buy food from a nearby food vendor at Amuwo Odofin. When I came back my friend Lukmon was sleeping.“So I woke him up to eat.

He got angry and gave me a blow. I was surprised, so I asked him why he was acting so weird and if he was alright.“As if that was not enough, while I was asking him what was wrong with him, he broke a bottle and stabbed me on my left hand.


“Immediately, I took a bottle, broke it and stabbed him on his head.OPC intervenes“Afterwards, I ran to call Sir K, an Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, Commander and others to intervene because Lukmon was still holding a bottle, making attempt to stab me again.“

When Sir K and other people came to intervene, they decided to take us to the hospital because we were bleeding terribly from the injuries.“He fell off the motorcycle and died on the way to the hospital.

“For goodness sake, I do not have any reason to kill him; we have been friends for over four years before this unfortunate incident.“I am married with a child and from Ogbomosho in Oyo State. I am a truck driver and started driving in 2010.“I do not have a house.

 I sleep inside the motor garage at night. My wife and child are in the village.”Vanguard learned that the case is currently being investigated at the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba Lagos.

8 More Nigerians Face Execution In Indonesia – Diaspora Group.



A GROUP, United Nigerians In Diaspora, UNID, hascalled on the Federal Government to prevail on the Indonesian government to stay action on its plans to execute eight more Nigerian citizens for drug related offences.Briefing newsmen in Lagos, the group’s president, Mr. Paschal Okolie, condemned what it described as the poor attitude of the government towards the recent execution of four Nigerians in Indonesia.

His words: ”Considering that the next batch ofexecution will take place in no distant time inIndonesia, we urge the good people of Nigeria andour government to rise up with the entire world tostop further executions of Nigerians.

Enough ofthe killings. Nigeria should leverage on the strongbilateral relationship it has with Indonesia andnegotiate to stop the execution of the eightwaiting to be killed. In as much as we totallycondemn drug trafficking and wish to sensitiseintending traffickers on the consequences thatawaits offenders, we also condemn capitalpunishment especially since it has not been able toquell the issue of drug trafficking in Indonesia.”

Okolie who gave names of those awaiting furtherexecution as, Michael Titus Igwe, KingsleyOkonkwo, Uchenna Onyewuru, Eugene Ape,Hunphery Ejike, Obinna Nwajiagu, BenjaminOnuoha and Ikenna Abanukwu, said, ”NigerianEmbassy in Indonesia is longer concerned withpassport renewals than the welfare or security ofNigerians.

Those Nigerians killed were not givingfair trial, there is language barrier which made itimpossible for them to defend themselvesproperly, Nigerian embassy did not even sendrepresentatives to court to assist them, so theywere left at the mercy of Indonesia which wasbent on killing them.”‘’Most times Nigerians are thrown into prisons formore than four months without anyone knowingabout it.

They are tortured and some even die inthe process. The way a country treats hercitizens, is a reflection of how the citizens will betreated in foreign lands. Therefore, we feel it ishigh time our government rose to the occasion toameliorate the plight of its citizens.’’“we expected our government to show concernjust like other countries whose nationals wereinvolved.

Woman Bites Off Employee’s Ear Over Salary In Lagos.

A Magistrates’ court on Monday ordered the arrest of a hotel director, 38-year-old Mrs Mary Joan Adeiekwe who allegedly bit off the ear of her manager, Chinwendu Nkemakolam, for demanding her monthly salary after she sacked her in Lagos State, western Nigeria.


Anambra State-born Adeikwe was arrested and charged before Magistrate M.B. Folami of Ejigbo Court for allegedly assaulting Nkemakolam.After she was released on bail, she refused to show up for trial.The incident happened at the hotel premises located at 38, Olusesi Street, Ikotun where the victim went to collect her salary as promised by Adeiekwe.


The victim, who is a graduate of Business Administration from the Lagos State Polytechnic, LASPOTHEC, was employed by Adeiekwe to manage her hotel on N25,000 salary every month.Barely a few months after she took the job, Adeiekwe sacked her without pay but asked her to come for her salary at a specific date..


According to Nkemakolam, when she went to the hotel to collect her money, Adeiekwe got angry, grabbed her ear and bit off part of it.She was bleeding profusely and was taken to Igando General Hospital with the piece of ear that fell off.But before they reached the hospital the piece of ear was already dead and doctors said it could not be stitched back.

The matter was reported at Ikotun Police Division and Adeiekwe was arrested and charged with three-count charge of felony, assault and wounding under the Criminal Code.She was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.

The matter suffered several adjournments because Adeiekwe refused to show up for trial.When the matter came up again on Monday, Adeiekwe did not show up and her counsel informed the court that they want to settle the matter out of court by paying the victim N25,000 being her salary and medical bills.

Folami insisted that the defendant must appear in court and explain why she won’t face trial.The matter was adjourned till 1 June, 2015.

Fuel Scarcity: 8 Vessels With Petroleum Products Arrive Lagos Ports - Sunnews.

Respite may have come the way of Lagos residents as eight vessels with various types of petroleum products arrived Lagos ports yesterday lending credence to Federal Government’s assertion that marketers are holding Nigerians to ransom over refined products.

One would be wondering how the vessels wouldbe arriving Nigeria two days after the governmentpaid N156 billion to marketers when it wouldnaturally take weeks or months to bring in suchcargoes from overseas.

But according to a bulletin by the Nigerian PortsAuthority (NPA), the petroleum products thatcame in include base oil, kerosene and petrol. Thepublication further revealed that three other shipsalso arrived with rice in bags and containers.

It said that NPA was expecting the arrival of 27ships to the Lagos ports between May 4 and 30.The publication said 13 of the expected ships areto sail in with containers, while eight others areexpected to arrive with food products. The foodproducts, it disclosed, include rice, bulk sugar,bulk salt, frozen fish and bulk wheat.

 Generalcargoes are to be brought in four ships, while oneship each would will sail in with vehicles and kerosene.Nigerians have for over a week been jolted bypetroleum scarcity, which reportedly arose fromthe strike embarked upon by oil marketers protesting over N156 billion debts owed them by government.

 But only last Thursday, the FinanceMinister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, paid the saiddebt while urging the marketers not to holdNigerians to ransom. Even as at the weekend,there were still controversy over the actual debtsoutstanding in their favour.

Wendy Williams, her husband and NeNe Leakes bump heads at a conference.

The cold war between former friends, talk show host Wendy Williams, 50 and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes, 47, erupted at The Ultimate Women's Expo at Georgia World Congress Center Atlanta on Sunday.

Not only were both women registered as keynote speakers, they also spoke back-to-back. To make matters worse, their dressing rooms were conveniently right next to each other. The whole brouhaha started when Wendy's entourage realized that her dressing room was next to NeNe's.

Her husband Kevin Hunter who is also her manager demanded they moved NeNe's dressing room far from his wife's. While they were still working on that, Wendy went on stage to do a keynote address to the thousands in attendance and talked about 'ten rules every woman should live by.'

NeNe used to be friends with Wendy before they had a fight over a tweet NeNe made about Reality stars and Wendy's reaction to it by insulting Nene's sitcom, this incident happened  in 2013 and they stopped being friends.

Anyways, after Wendy's keynote address, she was followed on stage by Leakes who addressed the audience by saying: 'I'm your home girl. I live my life as an open book and I'm happy I don't need ten rules to live by!'

According to the eyewitness at the event, Kevin pushed through the curtains and stormed the stage and was cursing at the top of his lungs. 'He kept yelling 'get her m*********ing ass off the stage. We don't f*** with her! Wendy don't f*** with her. Cut that b****'s mic off!!"
While he was on stage, NeNe's friend Diana Gowins jumped on stage and confronted Kevin Hunter asking 'What the hell is your problem? If you have a problem with NeNe, take it up with me!'

Those two kept going at it for a long time until the event organizers called security to diffuse the situation.
While this commotion was going on, Wendy was busy signing her book unaware of what was going on between her husband and Diana.
In his anger, Kevin asked Wendy to cut her book signing short, which angered the crowd and they started booing him.

By the time Kevin and Wendy got through the other side of the curtains, the event organizers and security were waiting for them and four police officers escorted them off the premises and to their waiting car,' the source disclosed.

Buhari Plans To Arrest Me – Uwazuruike.

The leader of the Movement for the  Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has raised the alarm that Federal Government under the incoming administration had perfected plans to arrest him any moment from now.Chief Uwazuruike further alleged that the incoming administration  was planning his arrest in order to keep him in prison custody till after the swearing in on May 29.

The MASSOB leader, who made the disclosure to newsmen in a statement shortly after the Anambra North Zonal meeting at Awkuzu in Oyi Local Government Area of the state, yesterday through the group’s Deputy Director for Information, Mazi Chris Mocha, said the new administration in Imo State had employed security agents, who would disguise as journalists to do the job.

According to Uwazuruike, the team leader had been instructed on what to do with him if arrested.“I don’t know why the Federal Government is always jittery about MASSOB.

 The planned arrest is intended to keep me in prison custody and possibly clamp down on MASSOB before or after the May 29 handover.Chief Uwazuruike said he was not afraid but such an arrest rather than dampen his hope of victory, would again make him stronger, focused and popular in the struggle for freedom, stressing “it goes to show that this non-violence method is giving the Federal Government some sleepless nights.”

He however recalled that on 25th October 2005, the former Governor of Imo state, Chief Achike Udenwa allegedly acting on instruction for the former President Olusegun Obasanjo used operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS who disguised as corps members to arrest him, adding that this recent plot is being planned to use security agents disguised as journalists to arrest him.
