A Burundian female police officer was stoned, beating and dragged on the floor by a mob after she was accused of shooting a protester in the Buterere neighborhood of Bujumbura, Burundi today May 12, during a protest march.
Burundi has been engulfed in series of fierce protests and fighting since the country's president, Pierre Nkurunziza declared his interest to run for a 3rd term in office, a stand the citizens are strongly against.

Why I fired Police IG, Suleiman Abba – JonathanMay 12, 2015Talatu UsmanPresident Goodluck Jonathan has disclosed that the immediate past IG, Suleiman Abba, was sacked following gross indiscipline amongst the personnel of the force during his tenure.
The chairman of the Police Service Commission, Mike Okiro, stated this to journalists following a Police Council meeting, chaired by President Goodluck Jonathan.
“The President, in a very brief way said, during the period of the former IGP, a lot of indiscipline was noticed among the rank and file of the police and as such he felt that a new IG should come and try his luck,” Mr. Okiro said.
“That is what (Mr. Jonathan) said, though I cannot give details of that.”Also at the council, Mr. Jonathan confirmed the appointment of the new Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.Mr. Arase was appointed by the president as the Acting IGP following
the sack of Mr. Abba on the April 21. He has been in an acting capacity for three weeks.
Emerging from a meeting with Mr. Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo and Mr. Okiro, the now substantive IGP, Mr. Arase, told journalists that the welfare of his men will be “number one on my cardinal responsibilities.
”“You don’t motivate a workforce except their welfare is paramount,” he said. “I’m going to ensure that their welfare is going to be put on the front burner.
”He said though the expectations of Nigerians are high, he could assure them that no Nigerian will suffer any injustice by his inaction or action.
On his order banning road blocks, Mr. Arase said there was already an enforcement policy in place. He said 16 teams have already moved out across the length and breadth of Nigeria to ensure strict compliance.
North Korea publicly executes defense chief for dozing off at event
North Korea has publicly executed the country's defense minister after the regime accused him of treason, according to South Korean news agency Yonhap.
Hyon Yong Chol was killed by firing squad using an anti-aircraft gun at a military school in front of hundreds of people in Pyongyang around April 30, the agency reported, citing a media briefing by the National Intelligence Service at its headquarters in Seoul.
Hyon "was purged for lese majeste" because he was seen "dozing off" during a military event and "did not carry out Kim's instructions," the agency said.
It wasn't clear what instructions Hyon failed to carry out.

Tyga is about to do battle with his baby mama because we've learned Blac Chyna is now gunning for full custody of their son.
Sources connected with Blac Chyna tell us she hired a top divorce lawyer last week and will file legal docs asking for primary physical custody.
She does not want 2-year-old King Cairo bouncing from home to home during the week because he's going to start preschool soon.
But Chyna's issues run deeper. She has a problem with Tyga because he's dating a minor, and she believes that shows bad judgment that translates into his parenting skills. Chyna also doesn't want Kylie Jenner to have substantial time around the kid because she believes Kylie lacks maturity.
She's willing to give Tyga weekend visitation, but that's it.
We've learned when Tyga and Blac Chyna separated, he initially wanted full custody but backed off and said he would share joint custody, but now the tables have turned.

Accident!!!! Couple die in car accident just two months after wedding .
Mr and Mrs Timothy Terson got married March 6th, 2015 and died just two months later on May 6th in a fatal car accident along Mkar-Ameladu road, Gboko.
Timothy died on the spot, while his wife, Erdoo died two days later on May 8th at Benue state University teaching hospital, Makurdi.
Like their deaths weren't tragic enough, Timothy's father, Mr. Tersen, also died in accident on his way to Gboko from Wannune, Tarka LGA after seeing his in-laws for the couple's burial arrangements
Now the families will be burying three people. Sad! May your souls rest in peace, Amen!
Two Nigerians sent to 12 years in prison in Vietnam for email fraud
A Vietnamese court has sentenced two Nigerian men, Christian Nnadike, 34, and Collins Deke, 37, (pictured above) to 12 years each in a Vietnam prison for hacking into emails of local companies, contact the company's foreign partners and swindle them of their money.
The men along with a Vietnamese female accomplice, Le Thi Kim Quyen, 35, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison and another Nigerian, de facto husband of the Vietnamese lady, Mark Mamado Abdallah, 39, who is currently at large, ran a scamming syndicate in Vietnam.
At the court hearing which took play in April, the men and their accomplice were also found guilty of another fraud scheme in which they pretended to be a British friend of two Vietnamese women on Facebook and asked them to send money as shipping fees to receive gifts.
According to prosecutors, the group defrauded many unsuspecting victims of over VND3.3 billion (US$150,000) between April and August 2013. Most of this came from the email hacking scheme.
Prosecutors said over the four months, the vietnamese woman, Quyen and her Nigerian husband, Abdallah hacked into the emails of several Vietnamese companies doing business with foreign companies.
They gave the information to Nnadikwe and then Deke, who would later transfer it to another Nigerian man living in Malaysia.
The unknown man in Malaysia then used the compromised email accounts to contact the victims’ foreign partners, asking them to send payments to a bank account opened by Quyen and Abdallah.
Selling Banned Drug Is Big Business; It Enables Me Marry 3 Wives – Suspect.
Niger State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized 702.6 kilogrammes of drugs between January and last month. A suspect admitted that selling banned drug is big business for him. He said with the proceeds, he married three wives.
The Commander, Mr. Joseph Iweajuanwa, told Crime Watch Today in Minna, that 638.87 kilogrammes of the seizure were cannabis, 11.7kilogrammes were dizapham, 23.03 kilogrammes were tranagol while 29.26 kilogrammes were cough syrup with codeine.He said a total of 526 kilogrammes of the drugs were seized in March in Kontagora.
According to the NDLEA boss, the agency secured four convictions out of the 26 suspects.Iweanjunwa also disclosed that a suspect, Abdullahi Aliyu, is cooling his heels at the Minna headquarters of the agency over allegations of selling banned drugs.
He said he resorted to dealing in drugs when his efforts to join the Army failed.The suspect, who was arrested by NDLEA operatives, said the business has enabled him to marry three wives.
He was one of the suspects allegedly dealing in chloroform, a banned substance, across Niger State. The drug variously called ‘suck and die’, ‘suku dai’ or ‘soku daiye’ is said to be used mostly by youths to make them high.
Aliyu said he was aware that the business was illegal, but it provided him with regular money with which he takes care of his family.
“I know one day I will be caught, but I can’t leave it because that is where I got money to feed my wife and my children”Iweanjunwa said six youths have reportedly died while inhaling the substance, pointing out that the people of Paiko went into spontaneous jubilation at the arrest of Abdullahi.
According to the NDLEA boss, 13 litres of the substance was found with the suspect who claimed that he was supplied by Yakubu Lawan, who is also in the NDLEA net over similar allegation.
This incredible footage shows the horrific moment a live goat is swallowed whole by a massive 10ft python as crowds of people were drawn to watch the digestive feat.
It has sparked fears among locals in the village of Garkhuta in West Bengal, India that if a python could catch a goat it could easily kill a man or child.
Among the onlookers was photographer Roni Choudhury, who was walking nearby the Sonakhali Reserve Forest when he spotted the giant snake stretching its mouth around the goat's lifeless body.
The moment I rushed towards the spot, I saw a huge python was eating the goat,' Mr Choudhury said. 'It was one of the most spectacular moments I've ever witnessed.'
The domestic goat's death captured the attention of villagers, with a crowd of onlookers quickly gathering around to watch the feast unfold. Mr Choudhury added: '
The python would be around 9-10 feet long and it looked young.'I was there for more than an hour and later I heard from the villagers that the python finished the goat in around four hours.
'It remained unclear quite how the giant snake nabbed the goat in the first place, but eyewitnesses said the python continued devouring its prey despite the crowd's presence.A villager said: 'It did not seem to be bothered.
The python left for the forest after he finished swallowing the goat.
