Shocking :Man Slaughters Own 4 Children After Quarrel With Wife....

A middle aged man, on Wednesday in Kaduna slaughtered four of his children and attempted to kill himself after an alleged quarrel with his wife.

Neighbours said that the man had quarrelled with the wife throughout the night, forcing her to leave the house located on Ahmadu Bello street in Kawo area of Kaduna metropolis.
Thereafter, the man allegedly locked the entrance to the house and used a knife to slaughter the four children aged between six to one year.

One of his children who was not in the house at the time, alerted the ward head of the area, when he found the door to the residence locked from inside on Wednesday afternoon.

When the neighbours and some policemen forced the door to the house open, the children were already dead while their father was still alive but in serious condition.

Police spokesman in the state, Zubairu Abubakar, said that the man and the children had been conveyed to St Gerards General Hospital in Kakuri, Kaduna.

He said that the police had commenced full investigation into the matter.

ISIS threatens to attack New York City in new video showing suicide bombers walking into Times Square

ISIS has threatened to bomb New York City in a newly released video, just days after vowing to attack Washington, D.C. The video clip features shots of yellow taxis and crowds in Times Square and Herald Square in Manhattan, with vibrant French music playing in the background - a nod to the Paris terror attacks on Friday.

It then cuts to a man wrapping a bomb around his waist before walking into the crowds and pulling the trigger.

 

New York police have issued a statement to say they are aware of the footage.They added that there is no direct threat to the city but insist there is a 'heightened state of vigilance'.

'In addition, we are continuing to deploy additional Critical Response Command (CRC) teams throughout the City, out of an abundance of caution,' Stephen Davis, a Deputy NYPD Commissioner, said in a statement on Wednesday.

He added: 'While some of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target.'

The video, which runs for nearly six minutes, includes a scene that appears to show a suicide bomber making preparations and zipping up a leather jacket.

The clip shows a brief glimpse of Times Square and then of a suicide bomber holding what appears to be a trigger, it said.

Final year student hacked to death by his Hausa security guard

A 25-year-old final year Civil Engineering student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, Mr. Innocent Ndukwe has been murdered by three suspected assailants.
According to the state Commissioner of Police Mr. Taiwo Lakanu, the suspects, after slaughtering their victim made away with his Pathfinder SUV with Reg. No. KRD-109AD, two plasma TV sets, one home theatre and assorted personal effects.

Lakanu, who disclosed this to newsmen when he paraded the suspects at the Police headquarters, Owerri said that the police control room, following a report of the gory incident quickly alerted operatives of the command, who immediately spread its drag net across the entire state.

Said he: “As a result, the assailants who tried to escape the eagle-eyed operatives were subsequently apprehended along West-End old Nekede road, Owerri.”

Texas executes man for killing 3 children in house fire

Texas on Wednesday executed a 36-year-old man, Raphael Holiday, convicted of killing his daughter and two stepdaughters in a mobile home blaze in 2000. He was put to death by lethal injection at the state's death chamber in Huntsville and pronounced dead at 8:30 p.m., a prisons official said.
He became the 531st inmate executed by Texas since the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated the death penalty in 1976, the most of any state.

"Yes, I would like to thank all of my supporters and loved ones," he was quoted by prison officials as saying in his last statement.

"I love you, Love y'all, always going to be with y'all. Thank you Warden," he said.

Holiday was convicted of killing Tierra Lynch, 7; Jasmine DuPaul, 5; and Justice Holiday, 1, in a rural community about 160 km northwest of Houston.

He had been living with Tami Wilkerson, his common law wife at the time, until she secured a restraining order against him for sexually assaulting Tierra, according to the Texas attorney general's office.

About six months later, Holiday, who had attempted to reconcile with Wilkerson, returned to the house and forced the girls' grandmother at gunpoint to douse the home with gasoline, which he ignited, it said. The grandmother survived.

After watching the blaze, he fled the scene in a vehicle and was caught after a high-speed chase with police. The bodies of the three girls were later found huddled together in the charred remains of the home, the office said.

The U.S. Supreme Court denied a request filed by a new lawyer for Holiday, who argued his federally appointed counsel had acted against his wishes and abandoned further rounds of court filings to spare his life.

Those lawyers told their client further appeals were hopeless and they did not want to provide false hopes, court papers showed.

The Supreme Court in June denied a request from Holiday's federally appointed lawyers to put a hold on the execution on grounds that included problems with his trial.

 One of the more unpleasant accusations was that my adventures with younger men had turned me into ‘shop soiled goods’, and that this would deter any ‘nice’ man. According to this friend, my actions meant I faced a sad and lonely old age. Try man my age.

“While I could easily disregard the vitriolic views of my friends, some of whom I suspected were merely jealous or prudish, I did feel it would be sensible to put my experience in perspective by dating some older men. Surely they had charms and allure of their own? 

And so it was I decided to date this ageing industrialist. We had dinner at his palatial residence, and yes, it was easy to converse with a man who ‘had’ the same things as me.

“Yet, as the conversation steered predictably down the safe avenues of favourite holiday spots and people he’d worked with, my mind wandered back to those playful exchanges I’d enjoyed with one of my favourite younger chaps, during our wonderful sexy afternoons.

“Aged 32, I teased him endlessly about political figures he had no clue about. But he was confident about his toned body and what to do with it. Was I being too fussy?

 Had my flings with younger men led me to set the bar unrealistically high? Let’s face it, a paunchy man fast approaching his 70th birthday will not compare favourably with a 32-year-old stud.

 But let’s turn the table. If I was frumpy, over weight, with unkempt grey hair and dressed in sensible shoes and polyester slacks, would Evie have asked me out in the first place? No!

“So why on earth should I settle for an out-of-condition old codger like him just because society deems it appropriate for me? Especially not when I still feel vibrant and youthful enough to attract the hot young thirty-somethings of this world?

“Since Evie, I’ve crossed paths with other older men and I’ve discovered how world-weary and bitter they can be, desperate to off-load their emotional baggage on any female who would listen.

 One top civil servant in his 50s stifled me with his tales of woe. “I divorced my wife after only four years of marriage and haven’t found a replacement since then. And that was 18 years ago,” he whined. Yawn.

“My longest relationship was barely two years. Why is that? Why am I so hopeless when it comes to women? What is it about me? Am I not attractive?” No, you’re not, I wanted to bark. Because you whinge and whine the whole time.

“Another date launched into a tirade against his former wife, claiming she was a terrible woman who’d had affairs and abandoned their children. Then he started on his subsequent partner – she was a selfish gold-digging alcoholic apparently. I’ve got my own gripes about exes, but I wouldn’t dream of bad- mouthing them to a virtual stranger.

“Let’s face it, to days middle-aged men are clueless about most things. They’re not great on grooming, mistakenly taking their lead from the young. I mean, designer stubble can look sexy on a cute 30-year-old, but it makes a 62-year- old look like a dishevelled pensioner.

 On the other hand, mature women these days are all too aware of the importance of taking care of the face, hair and body, and of dressing well in order to hold the interest of the opposite sex. Why don’t older men think the same rules also apply to them?

“And it isn’t just about appearance. Older men don’t seem to know how to conduct themselves around women. They hail from the era when ‘men were men.’ They were the provider, the defender. 

They made the moves, they called the shots. But that doesn’t wash in a modem society filled with strong, independent women. 

The balance of power has shifted and this seems to confuse a lot of 55-plus men, even the successful ones. They don’t know whether they should pay for dinner, or whether it’s OK to compliment you on your legs.

“Men in their 30s neither know nor care about ‘rules’. Used to the notion of equality between the sexes, they are more spontaneous and natural. If they think you look sexy, they tell you. If they disagree with you, they tell you.

“And a lot of them are financially independent not the gold-diggers they’re often painted to be. A few months back, I entered an enjoyable part-time relationship with a man who lives outside the state. 

Every few weeks, he comes to Lagos to see me his ‘naughty secret’. At 37, he’s no youngster, but he’s still almost two decades younger than me. 

I see him as a sort of compromise. He is neither young enough to be my grandson nor old enough to look like my father. It will end at some point, probably when his wife finds out, but for now this arrangement will do me very nicely, thank you!”

Antoinette Delali Kemavor, a pharmacy student at the Central university, won the Miss Ghana 2015 crown. Antoinette will represent Ghana in the miss pass world competition in Sanya, China. 

The runners-up were Rebecca Asamoah,a Dental surgical operation Assistant in the university of health in Kintampo and Afua Asieduwaa Akorfa, a Political Theatre Arts student of the university of Ghana,who came in as third and second,respectively. 
Ghana is currently ranked seventy nine(79)at the Big4 ranking and has been steadily at the upward push for nearly five years since the ranking commenced. It’s placement in the miss world pageant came about in 2013, while Carranzar Shooter emerged the the second princess.

Boko Haram ranked ahead of ISIS for deadliest terror group

As much of the world remains focused on the Islamic State and its horrific attacks in Paris, another radical band of extremists has, by one account, captured the infamous title of the world’s deadliest terrorist group: Boko Haram.

Boko Haram, the militant group that has tortured Nigeria and its neighbors for years, was responsible for 6,664 deaths last year, more than any other terrorist group in the world, including the Islamic State, which killed 6,073 people in 2014, according to a report released Wednesday tracking terrorist attacks globally.

The death toll in Nigeria mounted on Wednesday, with a bombing in Kano State in northern Nigeria, not even a full day after Boko Haram was suspected in an explosion that killed and injured dozens in another nearby region.

In Kano, the authorities said that two female suicide bombers detonated vests at a cellphone market at about 4 p.m., killing at least 12 people and wounding dozens. Witnesses and Red Cross officials said that as many as 50 or 60 people died, though the number could not be independently confirmed. Officials accused Boko Haram in the attacks.

 

In a statement Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari called for Nigerians to stay vigilant, saying that even his recently intensified military operation against Boko Haram could not prevent every attack.

“President Buhari reassures Nigerians that his administration is very much determined to wipe out Boko Haram in Nigeria and bring all perpetrators of these heinous crimes against humanity to justice,” the release said.

Pres. Buhari, who took office in May, ran on a platform of eliminating Boko Haram, which he has pledged to do by the end of December, as well as cutting back on corruption that has dogged the nation.

 

This week, Pres. Buhari accused the previous administration’s national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki, of pocketing more than $2 billion that had been allocated for warplanes, helicopters and other military gear to fight Boko Haram. Mr. Dasuki has denied the allegations.

 

Pres. Buhari has announced recent victories against Boko Haram, including seizing bomb-making materials and winning battles in the forest.

 

But still the bombings have come at a rapid clip in recent weeks, bringing death to a food market in Kano, areas of Niger and Cameroon and a village in Chad, prompting officials to call a state of emergency there.

 

Boko Haram has pledged its allegiance to the Islamic State, but it is unclear what support the group is giving Boko Haram beyond assisting with publicity.

 

The report released Wednesday, from the Institute of Economics & Peace, said the Islamic State and Boko Haram were responsible for half of all global deaths attributed to terrorism.

 

Last year, the deaths attributed to Boko Haram alone increased by more than 300 percent, the report said.

 

The report found a drastic increase in terrorist attacks last year, with the majority occurring in three countries: Iraq, Syria and Nigeria, where other militant groups besides Boko Haram operate.

“In Nigeria, private citizens are overwhelmingly targeted, most often with firearms resulting in very high levels of deaths per attack,” according to the report.

Security experts, regional authorities and Western military officials have credited Pres. Buhari’s renewed push against Boko Haram for scattering the group, which gained notoriety in the United States when it kidnapped scores of schoolgirls and seized entire towns in northern Nigeria.

 

They say the string of recent attacks on various public places is evidence that the group is grasping to gain real ground and is no longer as capable of holding territory. Still, attacks in crowded spots like schools and markets, long a staple of Boko Haram’s mayhem, can be extremely deadly.

 

This is the third year the economics and peace institute has released its Global Terrorism Index, a study of terrorist activity around the world. The index is based on data collected as part of a program run by the University of Maryland dedicated to the study of terrorism around the world.

 

In Cameroon, the report said Boko Haram had expanded its reach into the country with bombings.

Body found may be that of missing 15-year-old schoolgirl

A body has been found in the hunt for missing teenager, 15 year old, Kayleigh Haywood.
Officers searching for the 15-year-old discovered a body was found in a field in Ibstock, Leicestershire Police said. The grim discovery came as police launched a murder investigation.
Kayleigh was last seen by her family as they dropped her off outside a school not far from her home.
Her mobile phone and items of her clothing were found by police in different areas.
The 15-year-old was dropped outside Ibstock Community College in Leicestershire on Friday evening.
She called her family on the phone the following morning, but no trace of her has been seen since.

On Tuesday, the Mirror reported that two men have been arrested after the 15-year-old, who was last seen on Friday, told her parents she was going for a ­sleepover at her best friend’s house.
But it is believed she secretly met a man she had been in contact with on Facebook.

A source said: “Kayleigh had told her best friend about a man who had been messaging her on Facebook.

“They were both going to meet this man on Friday evening, but earlier in the week Kayleigh announced she was no longer going to meet him. 

“Usually she would spend the weekend with her best friend and her family. But Kayleigh told the girl that she would be going to visit an auntie instead.”

Detective Chief Superintendent David Sandall, Head of Crime, said: “We have become increasingly concerned for Kayleigh’s safety as the hours have passed since she was dropped off by her dad on Friday evening.

"Five days on, we’ve heard nothing from her, and this is completely out of character. “Since we started looking for her we have found her mobile phone in Melbourne Road, Ibstock and items of clothing which we believe are hers in the Ibstock and Diseworth areas. 

“In all the circumstances, we fear the worst and have told her family to prepare themselves that we are now treating her disappearance as a murder enquiry.

Khloe contracts staph from Lamar's bedside

Khloe Kardashian who is promoting her book titled, 'Strong Looks Better Naked' cancelled her book tour on Wednesday to undergo a series of tests after falling ill following the time she spent taking care of Lamar Odom.

 She took to tweeter to  say she was sick and apologized for canceling her book signing. She said:

 

Now reports have emerged that she contracted staph infection during the weeks she spent in the hospital tending to her estranged Husband Lamar.

According to TMZ, she has a lesion on her leg which became painful and she later developed other symptoms including a high fever and swollen glands. She has been given a course in antibiotics.
