Man Kills Live-in-Lover on Christmas Day in Lagos, Flees

The Lagos State Police Command says it has contacted the International Police over a runaway murder suspect, identified only as Sunday, who allegedly stabbed his 21-year-old girlfriend, Cecilia Joseph, to death in the FESTAC Town area of the state.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the incident occurred on Friday, Christmas Day, in the lovers’ rented apartment on Waterside Street in the Lakeview Estate, Phase 2, in the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of the state.
The duo had a fight during which Sunday allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Cecilia in theneck and in the stomach.

Neighbours, who learnt of the attack after Sunday had fled the house, reported the matter at the FESTAC Police Division.
It was learnt that the policemen came to the house and took Cecilia to the Isolo General Hospital, where she was confirmed dead.
The bloodstained knife used by the suspect had also been recovered by the police.
A resident, who declined to give her name, said the duo had been living in the apartment without being married for some months before the incident happened.
She said:

“There was a quarrel between them on the Christmas Day. I heard that it was the woman who first went to take the knife and attacked the man.

“The man then took the knife from her and stabbed her in the neck. It was her screams that alerted the neighbours. I think she had died before the police arrived. The man ran away before anyone took notice.”
The matter had been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, where investigation was ongoing.
A police source said the suspect ran out of the country to the Benin Republic.

“The suspect is believed to have sustained knife injuries. He killed the lady in anger. He has escaped out of the country. The knife is with us and we also took photographs of the scene of the crime,” he added.
The Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the incident, said the Interpol section would be given the suspect’s details to aid their investigations.
He said:

“We will look for the suspect and we will get him. The police have no jurisdictional problem even if the suspect has fled to the Benin Republic. Our Interpol section has been contacted.“The details of the matter will be given to the Interpol, and we will arrest him where he is. Meanwhile, the corpse was taken to the Isolo General Hospital and deposited in a morgue there for an autopsy. Investigation is ongoing.”

OMG !!! Woman Pours Hot Water on Nursing Mother

A woman, identified as Esther Williams, has been arrested by the Isheri division of the Lagos State Police Command for pouring hot water on her neighbour, Mabel Enwongomfon–Umoh, who is a nursing mother.

Williams, who is said to be in her late 30s, was said to have emptied a bucket of hot water on Mabel after they had a minor argument in their rented house on Thursday, December 24, 2015, around 8pm.
The incident left Mabel, who was still breastfeeding her two-month-old baby, with severe burns on
many parts of her body, including her two breasts and abdomen.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the woman had not been able to breastfeed her baby since the incident happened.
The husband of the victim, who identified himself simply as Umoh, told PUNCH Metro that Williams attempted to escape after assaulting his wife, but he was able to apprehend and hand her over to the police.
Mabel, 27, who was evidently writhing in pains on the hospital bed when our correspondent visited, told PUNCH Metro that it was a fight between some of her co-tenants in front of her room that led to the incident.
She explained that Williams, who poured the water on her, had nothing to do with the quarrel.
She said, “My neighbour’s brother and his girlfriend were fighting and they pushed themselves to the front of my door. When I could not cope with the disturbance again, I went outside to call the guy’s sister to come and separate them or make them leave our entrance.
“As I was going back to my room, Williams, who had nothing with the fight, asked why I called the sister, saying I was interfering in something that did not concern me. I told her that they were fighting in front of my room, but she pushed me. I was surprised because we never had a quarrel before then.
“That was how we started shouting on each other.”
She recalled that it was the noise from the fight that drew the attention of her husband who was in the room with their two children. She said her husband came out to separate them and they were already going back to their apartment when Mabel ran into her room to carry the bucket of water and poured it on her.
She said, “I was in the front while my husband was behind me. Suddenly, she went into her room and came out with a bucket and poured the content on me.
“I have been in serious pain since then, and I have not been able to breastfeed my two-month-old baby, who is my second child.”

A police source told our correspondent that Williams had confessed to the crime and that she blamed the devil for the act.
“She would be charged to court,” the source said.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe Offor, said he would get back to our correspondent on the incident.

“Let me call the DPO of the division and get back to you,” he added.

Shocking rape and roberry crime : Man Rapes & robs 2 women in one night...

A Gwanda man who broke into two premises in Mpoengs and raped two women twice his age before robbing them has been jailed for 30 years.
Gift Mthombeni, 21, of Guyu was convicted on his own plea of guilty to rape, unlawful entry, theft and assault by Bulawayo regional magistrate, Chrispen Mberewere.
He will serve an effective 25 years after five years were suspended for five years on condition that he does not within that period commit a similar crime.
In passing the sentence, Mberewere said Mthombeni’s conduct was deplorable and showed an inherent wickedness in his character.
“In assessing the appropriate sentence, the court notes and regrets that you’re a young man who stands convicted of a very serious offence. There’s substantial premeditation evident from the manner you committed the series of offences when you identified places you clearly knew the victims would be sleeping alone and pounced on them,” said Mberewere.
“You chose the very middle of the night to attack and rape two adult women both twice your age. Your conduct is deplorable and clearly imprisonment awaits you. It’s the only form of punishment that you deserve as it’ll also send a message to other predators like you,” ruled the magistrate.
Prosecuting, Liane Nkomo said on October 5 this year shortly after midnight, the victim aged 42 was sleeping alone in her bedroom when Mthombeni broke the door to the house to gain entry.
The court heard that while inside, Mthombeni grabbed the woman and pinned her down while covering her mouth to muffle her screams. “Mthombeni ordered the victim to remove her clothes before he raped her after which he took R140 from her handbag and fled,” said Nkomo.
During the same night, Mthombeni proceeded to a tuck-shop in the same neighbourhood. He knocked on the door and asked the occupant to open on the pretext that he wanted to settle a R30 debt. The tuck-shop owner, a 40 year-old woman, refused to open the door and told Mthombeni to bring the money during the day.
“Mthombeni who was wielding a machete, destroyed the locking system and gained entry into the shop,” said Nkomo.
He threatened to strike the woman with the machete but she ducked and the two wrestled until Mthombeni overpowered her. The court heard that Mthombeni assaulted the victim and she sustained bruises on her face, knees and neck.
Mthombeni raped the victim and stole packets of cigarettes, two cellphones, 28 airtime recharge vouchers and R500 and fled.
A report was made to the police leading to Mthombeni’s arrest and recovery of some of the stolen money and property.

BUSTED: Man Catches Wife Having Pleasurable Moment With Boyfriend

A DOG is a man’s best friend and in that case perhaps women should be worried for they would bark at every wrong turn they make. One cheating woman from Marumbe village in Gokwe learnt the hard way after the family dog sold her out by leading her husband to a bush where she was allegedly having sex with her boyfriend.
Energy Hove was shocked when he found his wife Lorraine Marumbe having a pleasurable moment with her boyfriend Madzibaba Busani under a tree in the bush.
The two lovebirds ran for their lives upon realising that they had been caught red-handed.
The stunned Hove who had innocently followed the dog without suspecting anything became weak to an extent of failing to chase after the two. The clever dog acting as if it was on a special assignment further led Hove to Madzibaba’s homestead and the puzzle became complete.
Hove, not believing his eyes, decided to go to a funeral where his wife had alleged she was going to when she left home. When he got to the funeral, the mourners revealed that they had not seen Marumbe.
He tried phoning his wife, but her phone was not reachable. Hove said his wife did not return home on the night in question and as a troubled man, he decided to phone Madzibaba’s number and to his surprise, the phone was answered by his wife.
“I failed to sleep and around 3am, I just decided to phone Madzibaba Busani’s number and my wife answered the phone.
“When I asked her where she was, she just told me she was coming before dropping the phone.
“Madzibaba Busani immediately sent me a message demanding his children and that is how I got to know that I was keeping another man’s children,” said Hove sobbing bitterly.
On the following morning, he then took the two children aged six and three and dumped them at Madzibaba Busani’s homestead.
“When I heard that my wife had arrived at her brother’s place, I returned to Madzibaba’s homestead as that meant he was also back, but discovered he had left.
“My intention was to kill the children, Madzibaba, my wife and myself lastly so that no one benefits in all this thing, but his absence destroyed my plan,” he said.
When Hove’s family realised that he was going insane, they tied him to a tree for two days so that he could cool down.
Madzibaba Busani, fearing for his life, ran away and even his wife did not know about his whereabouts.
After a week, Hove came back to his senses and he poured out his heart to the news crew.
“Regarding the children I do not want to see them, but as for my wife I forgive her and she has to come back home,” he said.
However, the family members said they would convince Hove to accept back the children as they believed Madzibaba’s wife might abuse them.
Marumbe refused to shed more light on what had transpired.
“I ran away after Hove beat me up. Everything that happened was meant to fix him,” Marumbe said.
Hove’s mother said she wanted her grandchildren back as she believed
“Ezalelwe egumeni ngeyakho” (A child born in your compound is yours) literally meaning a child born under your roof by your wife is yours.

Horny man Rapes a woman in the toilet.

A 25-YEAR-OLD man yesterday appeared in court for allegedly raping his 45-year-old neighbour who was relieving herself in a toilet.
Wellington Kapoka of Nketa suburb allegedly raped his neighbour after stripping her in the toilet.
Kapoka appeared before West Commonage provincial magistrate Abednico Ndebele facing a charge of rape.
Ndebele remanded him in custody to January 11, 2016.
Kapoka denied the charge saying the victim invited him to have sex.
“She invited me to have sex with her. I refused but she insisted and told me that we’ll do it undercover. I told her that I’m too young,” said Kapoka.
Prosecuting, Mufaro Mageza said on December 25, 2016 at around 12AM in Nketa suburb, Kapoka had sexual intercourse with the woman without her consent.
“Kapoka pounced when the complainant was relieving herself. He forcibly removed the complainant’s panties and had sex with her,” said Mageza.
He said the woman tried to fight him but she was overpowered.
“Kapoka locked the toilet door from inside then grabbed and pushed the complainant down. She was rescued by her children and other housemates who heard her screaming in the toilet,” said the prosecutor.
