Nigerian Blogger,CKN remanded in Prison over story on Fidelity Bank MD


A Nigerian blogger, Chris Nwadu popularly known as CKN has been reminded in prison custody by a Federal High Court. CKN was arrested at the court premises at the hearing of a case involving another blogger,Seun Oloketuyi. Fidelity Bank MD,Nnamdi Okonkwo says both bloggers injured his reputation and caused him shame by publishing a story alleging he was involved in sexscapades.

GISTMASTER gathered that the case against CKN has been adjourned to September 7, when he is expected to post bail.Oloketuyi was granted N3 Million bail by the Federal High Court,Ikoyi.He was represented by lawyers led by Muiz Banire, a Senior advocate of Nigeria and the national legal adviser of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The arrest of both bloggers have continued to generate debate within and outside newsrooms and among bloggers. GISTMASTER learn that so many people have intervened to settle the matter between the MD of Fidelity Bank and the bloggers but not much had been achieved.
