Woman tells court how she was 'tricked into sex with woman wearing prosthetic penis'

A woman has told a court how she was tricked into sleeping with a female pal who allegedly pretended to be a man by using a fake penis.

Chester Crown Court also heard from an impact statement where the alleged victim said she was left feeling "sick" after discovering she had been sleeping with a woman.

Gayle Newland, 25, of Hooton Road in Willaston, Neston, is charged with five counts of sexual assault 

The court heard how Newland disguised herself as a man to trick her female friend into a relationship, before having sex with the complainant using a prosthetic penis. 

She denies the charges, said to have taken place between February and June 2013.

The alleged victim was in court today giving evidence, and she told jurors of the first time she had sex with someone she thought was a man called Kye Fortune.

The court heard how the alleged assault happened in a hotel room.

Female friend who 'wore prosthetic penis to convince woman into thinking she was having sex with boyfriend of two years' walks from court

Defending Newland, Nigel Power, asked the alleged victim: "There had been a number of meetings, including in the hotel, before there was any penetrative sex? but you disagree with that?"

The woman replied: "The first time was in the hotel."

At this point, the prosthetic penis was held up in court and the lawyer questioned whether or not the woman would have felt the straps.

The court head how the woman claimed the sex toy was attached to Newland and hidden by clothing, but Mr Power claimed there was no way it could have been mistaken for a real penis.

The alleged victim told the court: "I thought I was having sex with a guy, I wanted to have sex with a guy, I wanted a relationship with a guy."

Later, the court was read an impact statement from the woman where she told of suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.

She said: "If it was a guy I would have found some way to get through it, but I can't believe I was sleeping with a woman all that time, it makes me feel sick."
