A pregnant woman arrested in India, drugs found Hidden in her stomach

The 32-year-old South African woman named Mosiea Moosa who initially lied that she was 7 months pregnant, was actually carrying packages of the drugs in her stomach and her urogenital tract. She was arrested on August 30 when she landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, India from Dubai on an Emirates flight,The Times of India reports.

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths became suspicious after looking at her passport and travel pattern over the last one week. On subjecting her to medical examination, they discovered that she had swallowed the banned drugs which were packed in small polymer packets.

She was rushed to Osmania Hospital by the NCB sleuths to get the packets of drugs out of her body. The NCB sleuths intercepted Mosiea at the RGI Airport after she arrived from Dubai by Emirates flight EK-526 on Sunday morning.
"When we intercepted her, Mosiea said she was walking with difficulty as she was seven-month pregnant. When we shifted her to a corporate hospital at he airport for preliminary examination, she admitted that she was carrying narcotics in her stomach," a NCB officer said.
By giving laxatives, the hospital staff managed to extract 16 pouches of narcotics substance. The NCB officials confirmed that no surgery was performed on the woman and she was under medical supervision.
"We have not yet conducted checks on the narcotics recovered from the culprit. However, by looking at her travel pattern and the narcotics market, we suspect that the substance could be cocaine from Brazil," a NCB official said.
According to the NCB, Mosiea landed in Dubai from Johannesburg on August 23. The next day, she took a flight to Sao Paulo City (Guarulhos International Airport) in Brazil. On August 28, she returned to Dubai from Sao Paulo. On Sunday, she reached Hyderabad from Dubai.
"As a major portion of cocaine consumed the world over is manufactured in Brazil, we believe that she was carrying the contraband. Her return journey to Johannesburg has been booked from Hyderabad via Dubai on September 10," the NCB source said.
The NCB sleuths believe that Mosiea brought the banned substance from Sao Paulo, and after a break in Dubai for two days, she landed up in Hyderabad.
"She is returning to Johannesburg only after a gap of 10 days. So, the receiver could be somewhere close to Hyderabad, but the final receiver of the product could be anywhere," the NCB official supervising the operation said

News News : Thousands of refugees receive warm welcome in Germany

Germany on Sunday readied for hundreds more refugees to arrive from Hungary via Austria, a day after thousands were greeted, often by volunteers holding signs that read “Welcome to Germany”.
The most populous EU nation — which this year expects to take in a record 800,000 people fleeing war and poverty — has seen an unprecedented volunteer effort to help the newcomers.
On Saturday alone about 8,000 migrants crossed German borders, federal police told AFP.
In Munich, refugee families holding their children and few belongings smiled as they were greeted with cheers, food and water bottles by crowds.
At the Munich railway station about 6,800 arrived Saturday alone, said Bavarian state officials.
As refugees got off trains, police directed them to waiting buses to take them to temporary shelters, which have been set up in public buildings, hotels and army barracks across the country.
Dozens of people, standing behind barriers, whistled, clapped and filmed the newcomers with their mobile phones.
“The people here treat us so well, they treat us like real human beings, not like in Syria,” said Mohammad, a 32-year-old from the devastated town of Qusayr, whose eyes welled up with tears as he spoke.
While Germany has seen a spate of ugly xenophobic rallies and attacks against foreigners, it has also seen an outpouring of support, donations and volunteer efforts by people who believe Germany, given its dark history and current wealth, has a special obligation to help refugees.
At Frankfurt railway station overnight, food, water and clothes were piled high for the newcomers, while hundreds of people thronged the platforms.
When the doors of the trains opened, people cheered and whistled and a chant went up in English: “Say it loud, say it clear, refugees are welcome here.”
One man, an Egyptian, who gave his name as Mustafa and said he had been living in Frankfurt for 20 years, was carrying an Arabic-language cardboard sign which he said spelled “warm welcome”.
Lara Sabbagh, a volunteer for an organisation called Kleeblatt based near Frankfurt, acted as a translator for some of the Syrian refugees.
She told bystanders to stop taking photographs, saying: “They’re afraid. They say they’ve just fled from their country and their ruler and don’t want to be photographed”.
She added that many of the migrants “didn’t understand all the commotion here.
“They asked me, ‘What are all these people doing here? What do they want?’
“They didn’t understand that people were here to welcome them.”

Baba Suwe says 'I will never marry an actress again'

Babatunde Omidina, known as Baba Suwe, is a  successful comedian better known for his exploits in Yoruba home videos. He  is still arguably the most popular Yoruba comedian of his time. But Baba Suwe hasn’t been having it easy.
After the much publicised crisis with National Drug Law Enforcement Agency,NDLEA, he lost his wife, Omoladun, who was almost always his soul-mate, even in films. Baba Suwe talked with Potpourri, opening up his heart on his late wife and the prospect of finding another wife.
Obviously still in grief over the loss of his wife even as many years have gone by, Adimeru, as he calls himself, would not let go the memory of his dear Omoladun
“It has not been easy but life must go on. I believe whatever happens has been pre-ordained. The death of Omoladun was a great loss I cannot get over in this lifetime. She will remain my best companion. She understood me than any other person on planet earth. At times when we quarrelled in the house, she would abuse me on set and that would mark the end of the issue” he said with a heavy heart.
Though he admitted he would marry again but said it would never be another actress
“Yes, I am getting married pretty soon. You can’t know her for now. She is not an actress because I can’t marry an actress again”
Why? Was there something he regretted about Omoladun being an actress?
“No, I don’t mean anything of such. What I mean is that I cannot get someone like Omoladun among the actresses again. Her good acting skills is one of the reasons I loved her but I have decided to check elsewhere for love” he explained.
