Perjury: Court orders police to arrest ex-Ekiti PDP Secretary, Tope Aluko
A Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital has ordered the State Commissioner of Police to arrest of former State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Temitope Aluko over alleged perjury. Chief Magistrate Adesoji Adegboye gave this order today, upon a Motion Ex-parte number MAD/10cm/2016, filed by the Ekiti State Government against Mr Aluko and the State Commissioner of Police,
pursuant to Section 117 of the Criminal Code Law, Cap C16, law of Ekiti State 2012, Section 79 of the Ekiti State Administration of Criminal Justice Law 2014 and Section 23 (D) of the Magistrates’ Courts Law 2014.In the Motion, which was filed and moved by the State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Mr Gbemiga Adaramola, an order of the court was sought to issue warrant of arrest against Mr Aluko to be executed by the State Commissioner of Police for the purpose of committing him (Aluko) for trial for the offence of perjury. Chief Magistrate Adegboye said the order was granted as a means for the first defendant (Aluko) to attend the court for defence.
The matter was premised upon an application to the State Attorney General by a lawyer, Mr Sunday Olowolafe, calling for the prosecution of Mr Aluko for alleged perjury. The legal practitioner said; “I hereby apply to your office that Dr Temitope Kolawole Aluko be arrested and sued for perjury in view of the interview recently granted on Channels Television by 8:00pm on Sunday 31 January, 2016.
“The said Dr Temitope Kolawole Aluko now recanted the evidence he gave in the cause of the hearing of the Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition as a star witness even up to the Supreme Court. The Certified True Copy of the State on Oath, evidence of Dr Temitope Kolawole Aluko in Court on the 12/11/14 and Nigerian Tribune and The Punch newspapers of Monday, 01/02/2016 that reported the interview granted are hereto attached. “It is to be noted that this if this act (Perjury) is not looked into, it will definitely defile the cause of justice and consequently rubbished the judicial proceedings.”
In the affidavit filed in support of the motion ex-parte by Special Assistant to the State Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, he said Mr Aluko, who was a witness before the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sworn to a Statement on Oath on August 4, 2014 wherein he stated that the Election was not only free and fair, but devoid of violence, thuggery, hooliganism, snatching of ballot boxes, and related forms of electoral disorderliness.
Olayinka further averred that Mr Aluko tendered and adopted his Statement on Oath on November 12, 2014 and further gave evidence under cross examination.
He stated that all what Aluko said on Channels Television on Sunday, January 31, 2016 were contrary to and opposite in direction to his evidence before the Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. Issuing the warrant of arrest against Mr Aluko, Chief Magistrate Adegboye said since the court had the power to grant the order and it will serve the interest of justice, the State Commissioner of Police should arrest Aluko for the purpose of investigating and prosecuting him.
Buhari showers praises on Obasanjo at Ogun state's 40th anniversary celebration
While speaking at the presidential luncheon to celebrate Ogun state's 40th anniversary in Abeokuta yesterday February 2nd, President Buhari showered praises on former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He said Obasanjo tolerated him and his excesses while he served as Minister of Petroleum under his administration in 1976.
“I express my thanks to General Obasanjo, who, as head of state, made me minister of petroleum and tolerated me for three-and-the-half-years. He tolerated me because God knows and he knows that I am not used to working as hard as he used to, but he allowed me to last that long and allowed me to work. If you go into records, that government made so much investment and infrastructural development in the petroleum industry. Two refineries were built, Warri and Kaduna. More than 20 depots were built; more than 3,500 pipelines were laid; and we were exporting refined products of 100,000 barrels per day. But what do we have today?”he said
Graphic: Six months pregnant woman brutally battered by husband
Kenyan activist and photojournalist, Boniface Mwangu shared disturbing videos of a pregnant woman being battered by her husband while neighbours watched helplessly. Below is what he wrote:
"She was assaulted by her husband in the presence of her neighbours. She was dragged in the house while bystanders watched without helping and the images that follow after she is dragged into the house are horrific, she is bleeding. The man beating is her husband and she is a silent domestic violence victim.According to Boniface, the victim who is currently admitted at the hospital, had lost a second pregnancy after a previous assault. The police said the man was arrested and later released on bail and will be arraigned in court on February 10.
Her neighbours are silent too. This man would have killed her and the neighbours wouldn't have lifted a finger. The man was arrested but released after the victim refused to press charges. She is six months pregnant, afraid ,jobless and currently admitted at Langata Hospital. I'm sharing this video with permission from her and her dad"
Picture of Lowo, before he was eventually stabbed to death, emerges as his family alleges conspiracy
Yewande was said to have insisted that he mustn't go. In the cause of the dispute, she stabbed him in the upper arm. Lowo later went to the hospital to get treated. When they got home, another argument started and their landlord was forced to intervene and help them settle the dispute.
Few hours later, when Lowo was asleep, Yewande allegedly stabbed him in the neck. According to sources, when the wife called for help she didn't have any dislocated shoulders, swollen head or bruised body. She was with him when neighbors rushed him to the hospital and still didn't have any dislocations.
A family source told Punch newspaper that the family feared that apart from losing Lowo, the case might also be lost because Yewande worked as a counsel at the Directorate of Public Prosecutions. The source said: She is a lawyer with the Oyo State DPP at the Ministry of Justice.
She is also the daughter of an Anglican venerable in Ibadan. As an employee of the DPP, she could truncate the case. We heard that her family is making efforts to cover up this dastardly act using the state judiciary. Oyo State Commissioner of Police has now ordered a thorough investigation into the case.
Shocking :Girl Caught Her Mum having s*x With Her Husband
A woman has recounted how her mother destroyed her home by having an illicit affair with her husband right in her home.
Life is such an unending drama. At times I wonder if there is anything like true happiness. We always have one part of our lives where the sadness is springing forth from. There is this popular belief that we only find perfect peace when we die.
This point of my life prompts me to face the ultimate fear of every human being which is death.I am 35-year old woman from Port Harcourt. I met my husband, Alfred during my days in the bank. He was a regular customer and after a disagreement with him one day while the bank’s server was experiencing issues, we became friends. One thing led to another and we started dating which later led to our marriage a year later.
My mother, 59, who is a widow never saw anything good about Alfred. She criticized every bit of his life. This almost ruined our plans to get married but I stood my ground not really because I love him but I was 33 years old with much pressure to get hooked as my friends in my age range were already having kids. It was a golden opportunity for me and I couldn’t afford to lose him.
I was scared of being lonely for the rest of my life which is a normal feeling among over-age single ladies.
In the course of interrogating my mother on her stark hatred for Alfred, I realized she made no sense with her random reasons which I found incomprehensible. One of her reasons was that Alfred is tall, fair and handsome which constitutes the major attributes of infidelity in marriage as other women will signify interest in him.
I laughed this off. Alfred is a wonderful guy. He is quite shy but very soft and caring. Even though I had my fears about other women trying to steal him from him, I remained defiant and prepared to secure what is mine.
After our first child; a very handsome boy, I was retrenched from the bank as a result of the regular restructuring process and cash crunch issues. I started selling shoes at the store. My mom assisted in taking care of my baby at home.
My mother’s presence at our home worsened the relationship between her and Alfred, she seized every available opportunity to insult him which didn’t go down well with me.
At a point I almost hired a nanny to relieve my mom of her duties but people advised me against the decision. My mom didn’t seem happy staying with us but she never left which bothered me and I wasn’t bold enough to tell her to go as I am her only child who have been with her since my father passed away 10 years ago.One day, our neighbour who stays in the opposite flat came to my stall and advised me against letting my mom stay in the house.
My neighbour is a full time housewife who is quite popular in the neighbourhood for gossiping. Her reasons were not clear. She said letting her stay is detrimental to my marriage and with time the signs will manifest. I pestered her on her reasons and she revealed my husband comes home from work in the afternoon virtually everyday to stay with my mother in the house during which some loud moaning of pleasure are heard.
According to her, she isn’t sure of the woman but from the voice and movements, its my mom. What an impossibility! Our flats seem close and sometimes, you could hear what is happening at the next flat from my room. I couldn’t believe it considering the strained relationship between them. I was so annoyed. I almost beat her up. I angrily sent her away.
On a second thought, I placed both of them under surveillance and didn’t observe anything strange. During my observations, my mother almost slapped Alfred for mistakenly spilling our baby’s food. I was so unimpressed with my mother’s disrespect for Alfred.
He swore he was going to eject her from the house but I pleaded. This was the confirmation of my the falsehood behind my neighbour’s claim but my only concern was that Alfred wasn’t bothering me for s*x anymore.
He was staying for over a month without lovemaking and no complaints. Its unusual as his libido could be unbearable at times. Even when I make moves at night, he complains of being tired. His weak points were his nipples, once you suck them, he gets ‘enraged’ like a lion ready to devour its prey but they were inactive.
One day I had to give him a head on a lengthy note to put him in the mood and even when he got hard. He couldn’t exceed one round. This is someone that could take a woman on as long as she wants. My husband is from Akwa Ibom for crying out loud and their men are famous for their sexual prowess.
He gave his current work schedule as an excuse which I found suspicious and disturbing. An average Akwa Ibom man could pick a beautiful woman over a huge sum of money to start a business.
They believe money can always be exhausted in the course of spending but the woman will always be there to bring pleasure and happiness.I received the shock of my life two months later when I forgot some fancy shoes I brought from Dubai which I wanted to deliver to my customer at home. It was 1pm in the afternoon.
I left my salesgirl at the stall and rushed home because the woman was disappointed after fantasizing about the pictures of the shoes I sent to her via Whatsapp. I drove home and parked my car outside. I shockingly saw my husband’s car at the garage. This was someone that left home before me. I was bothered. The feeling reminded me of my undergraduate days when you visit the scoreboard to check your result in a course that was rumoured to have recorded a mass failure. I was terrified with the words of my neighbour ringing in my head.
The main door wasn’t locked. My husband’s shoes, shirt and singlet were littered around the sitting room. Our son was sleeping on the sofa. I quietly moved up the staircase with my shoes off to prevent any sound from my movements.
From the staircase, I could hear some intense moaning and groaning. It was like a battlefield. Lo and behold, the sounds were from my own mother and my husband who I assumed were stalemates.I never knew my mother was still sexually active. She was screaming and uttering all sorts of words associated with ecstacy.
I got closer to where the noises were coming from, it was our bedroom, my matrimonial bed. I wished it was a dream. I was begging for someone to wake me up so that I could pray over it. I felt the ground should open and swallow me. The door wasn’t closed. My husband and my mother were stark n*ked and he was heavily humping her from behind as they backed me. My heart broke when my mother muttered statements like:
”I love you! I wish I met you first!! You are too sweet!!!”
”My daughter doesn’t deserve you! I love you!! Alfred baby!!! Alfred oooo!!!!”
I screamed so loud. They were scared to death on sighting me. The next time I opened my eyes, I was in the hospital. I was told I passed out. My life is so miserable right now. I don’t know where to start from. My sickness currently is from the mind. Alfred has been coming to beg but the sight of him complicates my problem. I don’t ever want to set my eyes on him and my mother again. I feel for our son that will become a product of a broken home. I am so confused. I have begged the doctors for mercy killing but they have refused. I think I am going insane.
The emotional pains are too much for me to bear. Alfred revealed to me via a lengthy email that my mom seduced him long ago while he desperately sought to make friends with her for the sake of our marriage. That’s no just reason for him to be sleeping with my own mother.
That’s a curse. I am so confused. Where do I go from here?

The Blackface allegations: Setting the records straight - Efe Omorogbe
This is the official reaction to Blackface's song stealing allegation from 2face Idibia's camp. This is from his manager, Efe Omorogbe. Read below...
When my attention was drawn to Blackface's twitter rant about the "theft" of his songs by his ex-band mate 2Baba, my initial reaction was to ignore what I perceived as an obvious marketing gimmick for his new single. The reaction from a vast majority of people on social media who read about the allegations was evidence that the ploy had backfired.
Blackface's press interviews since the twitter rant has made it necessary for me to present the flip side and set the records straight.
1. 2Baba and Blackface do have a bunch of songs they co-wrote in their days as Plantashun Boiz.
2. Both artistes have collectively and individually recorded and commercially released materials from this collection.
3. 2Baba has always given Blackface (Austin Ahmedu) co-writing credit every time he recorded any song that has Blackface's input - No matter how minimal.
4. Blackface has neither given 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) co-writing credit nor sought "permission" to record any of the materials they jointly authored.
5. Blackface has earned royalties off his shared publishing rights for about a decade.
6. A huge chunk of income he has made derives from royalties earned by the commercial exploitation of the successesful materials performed/recorded by 2Baba.
7. 2Baba did not and couldn't have stolen "Let Somebody Love You" from Blackface. The song was released about 2 years ago. Blackface complained about his name being misspelt on the CD sleeve and we personally apologised to him.
8. Yes. Blackface contributed to the writing of the first verse of the song. The second verse was entirely 2Baba. Bridget Kelly wrote her verse and Efe Omorogbe wrote the outro verse.
9. Efe Omorogbe is not 2Baba's manager on "Let Somebody Love You" but a co-writer.
10. The outro verse was lifted from the song "How?" written in 1997 and recorded in 1999 at Dolphin studios, Surulere. Blackface didn't write that bit. Couldn't have written that bit. Blackface cannot in 2016, touch Efe Omorogbe's writing from 1997.
11. Blackface should be honoured to have shared co-writing credit with 2Baba. I am. For each and every song we have collaborated on.
12. Blackface should be grateful 2Baba recorded their co-authored materials to ensure a lifetime of royalty income for him.
12. Blackface should record and release his own version of "Let Somebody Love You" and keep 100% publishing on that version. Oops! 2Baba will still be entitled to a share.
13. Blackface is not in 2Baba's league as a songwriter. Their post-Plantashun Boiz' catalogs speak for themselves.
14. Blackface should go to court to seek redress if he indeed believes he has a case.
15. Blackface should know that nobody ever secured a court judgement via a twitter rant or media tour.
17. Blackface must have realised by now that the unfortunate tirade has not made "Killa" a hit. At least, not at the moment.
We grind our way to the results we seek bro. Just HARDwork. No short cuts!
Sports Minister Dalung explains why he wears red beret and Khaki....
"So many people have asked this same question " what is behind your mode of outfits and what is the motivating principle?" The 'Red Beret' is my signature for a struggle of the common people. The 'Khaki' is just nothing but a very modest way of appreciating the magnitude of problems the 'common people' face in this country.
I don't fancy putting on attires outside that because it does not at all, portray our understanding of the situation in which we operate. There are people in this country who find it difficult to eat one meal a day and yet, we intimidate and harass them with gorgeously expensive dresses. Some of our apparels can even feed a whole community! I find it difficult to reconcile such an irony. (Sighs) So, I have decided to just live happily and modestly because that is how I feel happy each time I am in my simple wears. As for the 'Red Beret', it is the signature of those who struggle against injustice, violence and oppression of the poor. In fact, the red colour, historically represents the blood of the poor people who have been struggling for a better society. Each time we look at the red beret, we remember that some people have sacrificed their lives in struggling to live better in a world which was created by God and which others have decided to hijack and live at their own advantage against the voiceless majority. So...the summary of who I am is that I am a Comrade walking the talk "he stated
WTF !!!woman found with a bottle full of human blood.
IT sounds like a fairy-tale which most would pass for a creative, fictitious and surreal account of supernatural experiences, not to be taken literally.
But this is a true story of a woman from Hope Fountain on the outskirts of Bulawayo who is caught up in a witchcraft storm after a bottle full of suspected human blood was allegedly found hidden in a wardrobe during a family cleansing ceremony.
The woman, Smephi Dube's (ABOVE) alleged dark secrets came to light after a fall-out with her daughter-in-law Sibangani Sibanda who reportedly hired a prophet from Binga to cleanse the family after her three-year-old son's "suspicious" illness.
It is reported that Sibanda's son hardly slept at night as he was mumbling incoherently and at times hallucinating saying his dead father was calling him.
The child's father, Melusi Muzobe, reportedly died in May last year.
It is also reported that the child cried saying he was being troubled by an elderly woman as she was forcing him to drink blood.
So tense is the situation that Sibanda, a teacher at a secondary school in Plumtree, no longer exchanges a word with her mother-in-law as she accuses her of "bewitching" her son.
Speaking from her base in Plumtree, Sibanda said she was living in fear after a bottle full of blood said to be of a human being was found concealed in her mother-in law's wardrobe.
"It is true that a prophet whom we had hired to pray for my son after he mysteriously fell sick found a bottle with blood hidden in a wardrobe in my mother-in-law's bedroom. The prophet said the blood was of a human being and that she was also behind my child's illness. The prophet had been invited for a cleansing at our homestead because during the night my child was always waking up saying he was seeing his late father talking to him and an elderly woman forcing him to drink blood. At the moment I can't say much since the matter is before the family elders," she said.
When reporters visited Gogo MaDube in Hope Fountain, she confirmed the strange incident and frightening discovery. She was, however, quick to say she didn't know how that bottle with blood got into her wardrobe.
"What you heard is true. From the look of things dirty fingers are being pointed at me as the one who is responsible for my grandson's illness. For sure a bottle full of blood which a prophet said was of a human being was found in my wardrobe, but I am not responsible for that.
"The prophet was even hired without my knowledge and I was surprised when my daughter-in-law introduced me to the prophet saying he had come to assist us. I questioned her why she hired a prophet to conduct a cleansing ceremony at my homestead without my knowledge.
"For the sake of the child who was not feeling well, I later allowed the prophet to conduct the cleansing and he found that bottle with blood in my wardrobe.
"Of course it was purely blood, but I am suspecting foul play by the prophet. From that day I am no longer on talking terms with my daughter-in-law who is now accusing me of practising witchcraft. I am pained that all these accusations started after the death of my son (Melusi Muzobe)," said Gogo MaDube.
Headman Abedinico Sibanda said he was not at liberty to comment on the matter as it had not yet come to his attention.
"At the moment though I heard about it, I am not at liberty to comment since it has not yet officially come to my attention. To me for now it's just hearsay," he said.

Sri Lankan doctor killed husband with hammer after they had a three some sex with a teenager
One of the first officers to get to the scene saw a mallet hammer lying on the bed, he then asked her what had happened:
“I asked if she knew what had happened, a sobbing Liyanage said she did not know and could not remember and that the hummer belonged to her husband".The jury at the Supreme Court of Western Australia heard how the defendant was at breaking point and had become fed up of her "controlling" husband.
She had told police how he was physically violent, forced her to engage in sexual acts and controlled her finances and kept tabs on where she went.
Her lawyer George Giudice said his client was a
“Sleep-deprived, anxious, trapped and battered woman, that she was made to model for her husband in front of a camera, sometimes for hours on end.She was also fed up of being coerced her into threesome with other women, including a 17-year old girl with whom the Sri Lankan couple were having an affair. It got to a stage that she was no longer prepared to put up with his behaviour, he added".Liyanage pleaded not guilty to murdering her husband, also a doctor, with a hammer. The trial, set down for three weeks, continues.
