Abia woman sells grandson N100,000 to buy Dec motorcycle

The Abia Police Command, on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of a woman, who allegedly sold her three-year-old grandson to a ritualist. 

The Command’s spokesman, DSP Udeviotu Onyeke told newsmen that the woman was in the custody of the police in Umuobiakwa, as investigation continues.

He said that part of the investigation being carried out was to determine the sanity of the woman. 

The woman, who hailed from Onitsha Ngwa in Obingwa Local Government of the state, had left the village with the child and returned a week later to report that he was missing.

Sources in the village said that when the suspect was questioned about the missing boy, her response triggered suspiscion, thereby prompting the villagers to invite the police.

The suspect, allegedly told the police that she sold the boy for N100, 000 to a native doctor in Akwa Ibom and wanted to use the money to buy a motorcycle before end of the year.

The police spokesman, however, said that the woman had since changed her statement, claiming that the boy was with her sister in Aba.

 Onyeke assured that the police would thoroughly investigate the matter to unravel the whereabout of the three-year-old boy.

A PASTOR with a local pentecostal church and his friend's sex adventure turned into horror recently. They picked up two school girls and began having a fling with them in their car as they drove along Leopold Takawira Street, resulting in an accident.

Eyewitnesses said the pastor's friend was having a fling with a girl in the back seat while the pastor, who was driving, had the other girl in the front passenger seat. When the news team arrived at the scene, police had whisked away the two school girls after an angry crowd began beating them up.

However, the pastor's wife had arrived and sat in the car arguing with the man of cloth. The wife had promptly arrived after eye witnesses phoned her. Excited crowds pulled out the school girls' ties and socks, throwing them in the air as they enjoyed the drama.

Those who know the pastor phoned his wife and advised her to come and confront her cheating husband. As she was on her way to the 'sex scene', members of the public were busy beating up the pastor, his friend and the two young girls.

After a thorough beating as punishment for doing what he preaches against, the pastor began bleeding and surprisingly, beer bottles and cider cans were also found in pastor's vehicle. Two used condoms were also found in the car and the disgruntled 'Mai Mufundisi' was breathing fire at her cheating husband.

Chinwuba Ekwueme, 42, a father of three and a member of the Egede Neighbourhood Watch was on Friday, November 6, reportedly butchered by Fulani herdsmen in Egede, Udi Local Govt Area of Enugu State. The traditional ruler of Egede, Igwe Polycarp Oyigbo, lamented the recurrence of nomadic attacks against his subjects and wondered why government had not been able to offer measures towards saving them from these attacks. 68 Yr Old Man Dies Mysteriously Few Weeks After After Raping Niece

A 68-year-old man from Ibam Edet Community in Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State,

identified simply as Ete Ibam , has allegedly lost his life mysteriously, few weeks after rap!ng his sister’s daughter.

According to those in the know, Ete Ibam who lived with his family in the Ori-Oke area of Ogudu, Lagos State, died on Thursday, November 5, just hours after he was taken back to the village after all medical treatment and tests could not decipher what the problem was with him.

A member of the Ibam Edet Social Club in Ogudu narrated how Ete Ibam met his death to Pulse.

“Ete Ibam’s death is really a mystery but he led himself to such a gory death. What actually happened stemmed from the fact that he rap; ed his sister’s 18 year-old daughter and the girl laid a curse on him.

The mother of the girl lives in Ikorodu but the girl decided to leave home and go to Ogudu to live with her uncle.

According to the girl, on the night of the incident, she was sleeping in the room when her uncle forcefully had s* e x with her while holding a knife to her throat.

The girl then went U”n clad and poured curses on him and not up to a month, Ete Ibam fell sick.

He started drying up and we took him to many hospitals but nothing was detected. It was at a church that a prophet said it was the curse the girl laid on him and she was told to remove the curse which she did.

People from the village who heard what he had done, told him to come home and appease the gods but he refused until the sickness became worse and he was taken home but immediately he stepped into his father’s compound, he slumped and died.”

Baba Gina says 'I have no intention whatsoever to run for any office again in Nigeria' .

Former military head of state, Ibrahim Babangida says he is not interested in running for any political office in Nigeria anymore. Babangida stated this while reacting to reports that PDP is preparing grounds to field him as their presidential candidate during the 2019 election.

 The rumor started after PDP invited the former head of state to its re-branding conference slated for November 12th. In a statement released today, Babangida described the reports as ridiculous. The statement in part reads

"I have heard whispers from different political arenas that one of the rationales for the rebranding of PDP was to prepare me for future elections in 2019. How ridiculous! God’s willing; by 2019 I will be 78 years old. If I called it quits in 2011, why would PDP contemplate fielding a 78 years old man in a presidential election in a country that parades very vibrant men and women of lesser age? 

I have no intention whatsoever to run for any office again in Nigeria. I will consistently pray to Almighty Allah to grant me good health and sound mind to watch my dearest beloved country grow from strength to strength during my lifetime and beyond. I wish to make some clarifications concerning the invitation extended to me on the scheduled PDP Rebranding Conference slated for Thursday, 12 November, 2015, aimed at repositioning the party after its poor outing at the last elections. 

While I welcome the invitation to the event as a mark of respect as one of the founding fathers, I want to be excused on the grounds that I have long bid bye to partisan politics. Four years ago at an elaborate event at the Transcorp Hilton Hotels Abuja, I announced my retirement from partisan politics after my failed attempt to contest for President and having attained the gracious age of 70, in a society where life expectancy stands at a ridiculous 47 years. 

In appreciating what Allah has done for me in life, seeing me through many challenges, stabilizing me during periods of tribulations, and safeguarding me through the thick and thin of political risks, I did state at that event that Journalists would not push me around again. 

Attaining the age of 70 in 2011 was to me a great accomplishment for which I remain eternally grateful to Almighty Allah and my family who have shown tremendous support and encouragement throughout my political trajectory. 

Since 2011 till date, I have been playing my role as an elder statesman and “consultant-in-chief” to political office seekers and other like-minds who want my input in their aspirations. At 74, I feel a deep sense of fulfillment in my new role as non-partisan elder statesman and a patriot; available to all categories of persons without the burgeoning label of any political party or affiliation. 

I have many friends and associates in the two dominant political parties; APC and PDP, and numerous other smaller political parties. At this stage of my political journey, I want to be able to interact and socialize with them without being branded “anti-party”. It is on the score of this that I have elected to turn down this request to participate in the rebranding conference of the PDP in a partisan manner. 

My fulfilment in life is further bolstered by the emerging scenario that is evident in our present political reality. First, the idea of a two-party system which has always been my desire; and the stack reality that, incumbents can be defeated at various levels of election as a function of growing awareness and consciousness on the part of the electorate. 

These to me, present interesting dimensions in our political evolution as a country grappling with so many challenges".

Cheating Couple Having Sex In The Back Of Car Shot Dead

A pair of cheating lovers have been shot dead while having sex in the back of the car.

Mother-of-five Lisa Smith, 32, and 25-year-old Shakoor Arline(above) were together in the back of a vehicle when investigators believe a door was opened by someone else, firing nine shots,Daily News reports..Several of the bullets hit the victims in the head.

Their bodies were found by maintenance workers on Friday near the historic Fairmount Park building Lemon Hill, in Philadelphia.Police said the pair were in relationships with other people.

Homicide captain James Clark added:

“So obviously that’s where our investigation is going to start, because somebody knew that they were in the park at that time and obviously had an issue with that.
“You’ve got nine shots fired, all of them head shots to both of the victims, so it appears to be very much a crime of passion.
