In a swift reaction, the Area Commander, Area 'E' mobilized a joint Team of Area 'E' and Divisional Headquarters, Festac that engaged the Armed robbers numbering over 40, dressed in military Camouflage and armed with military assault rifles of various calibre robbing Access and Diamond Banks simultaneously.
The gun battle forced the armed robbers to abandon over Twenty Seven Million Naira and Two Hundred and Forty Rounds (240) of 7.62mm live ammunition. No life was lost on both sides. The case has been referred to Special Anti-Robbery Squad for discreet investigation while security has been beefed up within Festac Town and its environs. Investigation found Ewuzie Emeka Emmanuel asked a 15yr old Vietnamese girl in his neighborhood to come into his room on October 3rd. He flirted with her and asked for her phone number. He texted her later that day, asking her to come to his room, where he had sex with her, investigators said.
After the girl came home, her mother found out and reported the case to the police.
Emmanuel came to Vietnam in 2008 and is working for a company in the neighboring Ho Chi Minh City. Under Vietnam's Penal Code, one can be sentenced to 15 years in jail for having sex with one between 13 and 16 years old. The sentence can be longer if the action causes pregnancy or significant health damage.
The gun battle between a group of policemen and some armed robbers in the early hours of Tuesday, October 13, 2015 turned deadly as a woman and her 14-month-old baby were hit by the robbers’ stray bullets and died.
The Trent had reported that over 20 heavily armed bandits attacked Diamond and Access banks on 4th Avenue in Festac Town, Lagos State in a one-hour operation that has left a tragic trail of blood.

The woman, identified as Mrs. Jane Ndirieka and her baby were hit in their house by stray bullets from the robbers shooting spree. The victim’s neighbours who spoke with our correspondent at their 4th Avenue flat say that Mrs. Ndirieka was shot twice, one in the chest and in other the right shoulder while she carried her baby. Her baby died on the spot while she was rushed to the hospital.
Our correspondent exclusively gathered from investigations at the scene of the robbery that the bandits arrived on three boats and berthed at the canal by the fresh fruits market on the 4th Avenue in Festac. They divided themselves into two groups.
Access Bank and Diamond Bank are located between two junctions. Diamond Bank is close to the 4th Avenue by 5th Avenue Junction while Access Bank is closer to the 4th Avenue by 23 Road Junction. One group of the dare-devil robbers who dressed in military fatigue set up a road block at the 4th Avenue by 5th Avenue Junction while the other team set up a road block by the 4th Avenue by 23 Road Junction.
Once they blocked the junctions, they began to shoot sporadically to scare off residents as they began to break down the doors of the banks. According to an eye-witness who spoke with our correspondent, the robbers also set off explosives which looked liked bottles at the scene.
A friend of the victim, Mrs. Jane Ndirieka, who was present with her in her house when she was hit by the robbers’ bullets tells The Trent that Mrs. Ndirieka was first rushed to a nearby hospital in Festac Town where she was rejected. All pleas made to the hospital to treat her was rebuffed. At this point, Ndirieka had lost a lot of blood and was losing consciousness.
While on the way to the government’s general hospital, she died in the car and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Her baby, who was in her arms when she was hit by the bullets which passed through the door and walls of her flat and hit her, died on the spot. (The sad photo of the dead baby is in the photo gallery below.)
Residents say that the police did not respond to any of their distress calls and the robbery operation went unchallenged for close to an hour.
The robbers shot a security guard at Diamond Bank during the operation. The security guard (name withheld) was rushed to a nearby hospital where the hospital staff who spoke with The Trent confirmed that he was conscious and an x-ray had been done to locate the bullet.
According to eye-witnesses, the robbers who were at least 20 in number, snatched two vehicles and used them to pack their loot from the two banks – Diamond and Access – before making their escape back to the waterside canal close to the fresh fruits market where they boarded their boats and fled.
Almost an hour after the robbers had fled the scene, the Area Commander of the Police arrived the scene with his team.
Below are graphic photos including that of the killed 18-month-old child.
Sole OPC Guard Repels Robbers From Attacking 3rd Bank
The gang of at least 20 armed robbers who stormed 4th Avenue, Festac Town in Lagos State would have attacked the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) located on the same street with Access Bank and Diamond Bank which were robbed, but for the intervention of an O’odua Peoples Congress (OPC) guard who single-handedly repelled them.
A group of armed bandits dressed in military fatigue, had in the early hours of Tuesday, October 13, 2015 attacked the Diamond and Access banks in the area in a one-hour operation which left a trail of blood.
The guard popularly called Agbashe, was said to have shot back at the robbers who targeted FCMB as the third bank in a chain of deadly attacks which left a woman and her 14-month-old baby dead.
Attempts by the robbers to gun down Agbashe proved abortive as their bullets failed to hit at him. While, his shots repelled the robbers. On noticing that their bullets were not affecting the OPC guard, the robbers abandoned their plans to rob the bank and fled.
Eye-witnesses who spoke with The Trent, said it was like watching a movie and Agbashe operated like he had a bullet-proof shield. They believe he was using a ‘juju’, African charm.
The police reportedly arrived at least 30 minutes after the robbers escaped in their boats after carting away unspecified amount of money from the two affected banks.
Check out this woman , 61yrs old Lady, who sleeps with Young Guys to stay young and good looking........
1 year old Laila Gledhill is proving that “age ain’t nothing but a number.” She proudly asserts that dat!ng men in their 20s keeps her looking and feeling young.
Her predilection for dat!ng younger men began after a failed marriage with her childhood sweetheart, Marcus who was two years younger than her. They got married when she was 27-years-old, but they met when she was 17. After 14 years of marriage, Marcus left Gledhill for a younger woman.
“He was my first love. We had known each other since we were teenagers. But now Marcus was telling me he wanted to leave me for a woman in her early thirties who was thinner, taller and prettier than me. I kicked him out. Marcus walking out on me made me really think about what I deserved in life and from men,” she said.Gledhill is currently dat!ng several youn- ger men and she is having the time of her life.
“No man over 40 has ever approached me. Dat!ng toyboys has kept me looking young and given me a zest for life. I feel like my appearance has stood still in time because of the way youn -ger men treat me. From my experience, younger men treat older women with respect, find them infinitely more attractive and genuinely enjoy their company.
And the s * x is so much better. Older men often have baggage and a bigger belly. Why should I be with a sixty-year-old man when I can be one who is twenty-four?”
A few weeks after Marcus left, the UK lady, who was a 41-year-old divorcee at the time, met a handsome 21-year-old army officer named David. Afterwards, Marcus begged her to take him back but she refused.
“Sorry Marcus but I’ve met someone who’s younger than you and fitter than you,” she said to him.
She and David got married, but their marriage only lasted for five years, as his parents disliked the age gap between them.
After the relationship ended, she moved on to 28-year-old Peter, who proposed to her. While they were engaged, he che @ted on her with numerous older women he had been sending messages to via online dating website, ToyBoy Warehouse. She subsequently broke up with Peter, and then joined the website, where she got lots of attention from younger men.
“When I joined, I was bombarded by hundreds of messages and complements from young professional men. I couldn’t even respond to all of them – they were so many! It was like being in a sweet shop full of good looking toyboys. I decided to stay on the website,” she said.
The family of the oil executive, who is being held at Jeddah's Briman prison, say he is already weak as a result of cancer and fear that the flogging will kill him.
They said in a statement reported by the Sun:
"Our father has given 25 years of his working life to Saudi Arabia, and this is how he is treated. Until his arrest, he has always been happy working there and felt safe.
"He is 74 years of age, has had cancer three times and his wife is dying in a home in the UK. He now needs medical care for his cancer and asthma, and there is no doubt in our mind that 350 lashes will kill him. We implore David Cameron to personally intervene and help get our father home. The Saudi government will only listen to him."The Foreign Office said:
"Our embassy staff are continuing to assist Mr Andree, including regular visits to check on his welfare, and frequent contact with his lawyer and family. Ministers and senior officials have raised Mr Andree's case with the Saudi government and we are actively seeking his release as soon as possible."Andree's three children, Hugh, 46, Kirsten, 45, and Simon, 33, are reported to have been lobbying discreetly for their father for more than a month but have now decided to go public.
Sorry no more nude photos on playboy : According to New York Times, last month, Cory Jones, a top editor at Playboy, went to see its founder Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion and suggested that they should stop publishing images of naked women. Mr. Hefner, now 89, but still listed as editor in chief, agreed.
As part of a redesign that will be unveiled next March, the print edition of Playboy will still feature women in provocative poses. But they will no longer be fully nude.
Its executives admit that Playboy has been overtaken by the changes it pioneered. For a generation of American men, reading Playboy was a cultural rite, an illicit thrill consumed by flashlight. Now every teenage boy has an Internet-connected phone instead. Pornographic magazines, even those as storied as Playboy, have lost their shock value, their commercial value and their cultural relevance.
"That battle has been fought and won," said Scott Flanders, the company's chief executive. "You're now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free. And so it's just passé at this juncture."
Due to internet porn, Playboy's circulation has dropped from 5.6 million in 1975 to about 800,000 now, according to the Alliance for Audited Media. Many of the magazines that followed it have disappeared.
'You're now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free. And so it's just passé at this juncture,' Playboy Enterprises CEO Scott Flanders told the Times.
Playboy's website got rid of nudity last August, and the company says that traffic quadrupled to 16million as a result.
Future versions of Playboy will still feature pictures of women in 'provocative poses', but not full nudity and it is not yet known whether it will keep publishing a centerfold.
Hefner, who still personally selects all the nude spreads for the magazine, was not quoted in the Times piece and has not commented publicly on his Twitter account.
The company insists that its strategy is best for business.
'Don't get me wrong,' editor Cory Jones said of the decision to dispense with nudity, '12-year-old me is very disappointed in current me. But it's the right thing to do
