Shooting spree in Festac Town :Soldiers shoot Policemen chasing Yahoo yahoo Boys in Festac, Lagos......

Vigilant soldiers who had been stationed at 7th Avenue Festac, Lagos State, fighting pipeline vandals since Monday, yesterday, shot dead two civilians and injured two policemen. One of the soldiers was also injured in the shooting.

The shooting spree happened moment after the soldiers received message to be at alert that robbers had attempted to rob Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), on 23th Avenue and that another set had attacked banks at Agbara, Ogun State.
Following the clash with vandals on Monday, the soldiers had placed a barrier on the road; the barrier was to show that the area was a high security risk area and drivers were expected to slow down. The victims of yesterday shooting, however, refused to slow down at the barrier even after the soldiers repeatedly ordered them to stop.
Thinking they were criminals, the soldiers started shooting at them. When the smoke from the guns cleared, two civilians had been killed, two policemen and a soldier wounded. The incident occurred around 10:30pm. The civilian driver died instantly and a stray bullet killed another civilian who was eating noodles not far from the scene.
Two policemen were seriously injured. One was shot in the buttock and another on the knee. The soldiers so sprayed bullets that expended hundreds of ammunition littered the ground. Two police vehicles were shattered and perforated with bullets. One of the bullets bounced off a police van and hit one of the soldiers on the chest. The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital, but rejected.

They were referred to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba. A police source said: “Surveillance men were on patrol. They sighted a Honda car. They thought the driver was a ‘yahooyahoo’ guy. The policemen were in a commercial bus as against the instruction of the Inspector General of Police (IG).
“The policemen flagged the Honda driver down, but he refused to heed. The policemen started chasing him, up to 7th Avenue where the joint team of soldiers and policemen were stationed.
There was a barrier on the road to slow down vehicles. The Honda driver and the policemen in commercial bus refused to stop.”
It was further gathered that the Honda driver apparently drove towards the soldiers, thinking they would protect him from people in the commercial bus that were chasing him. When the Honda driver and commercial bus refused to stop, the soldiers opened fire.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Joe Offor, confirmed the incident, which he described as an act of omission rather than commission.

Neema Godwin says ' As A Beauty Queen, I Can't Date A Man Scared Of My Status.

For fast rising model, social ambassador and beauty queen, Neema Godwin, her vision is to create a platform that will attract opportunities for women. Now as the reigning Miss Fotogenix Nigeria, the sky is her limit.

In this chat withEntertainer, pretty Neema opens up on her career, passion, pet project, and disposition to life. Excerpts:
How was the experience like when you won Miss Fotogenix?
The experience was breath taking. I did not actually expect to win the pageant, as there were so many gorgeous girls, who from my opinion, were more photogenic than I was. But here I am, the winner of Miss Fotogenix 2014. I couldn’t be more grateful to God for this. The photo shoots were amazing. The organisers tried their very best considering the many circumstances; the training and development sessions have all added to my total outlook as a queen with an innovative social edge.
What do you think gave you the edge over other contestants?
I wouldn’t say it was anything in particular. I believe it was a collection of forces that made that happen. Sometimes in beauty pageants, a situation can allow a contestant pick up the crown. But in my case, I don’t think this was a stand-alone situation. It was everything.
What have you been doing since then?
I represent the Miss Fotogenix brand at various functions across Nigeria. I am also working on my pet project that goes beyond the crown. It was designed to support indigent and low income earning women trading in commodities to access funds to boost their businesses, as most of these women are breadwinners for their families. This will go a long way in reducing poverty in Nigeria and enabling women to better fend for their families on a long term. For instance, The Pink Woman project that kicks off activities with the Makoko community this November, is tailored towards meeting basic sustenance needs of women in this riverine community located in the heart of Lagos.
What are the challenges you are facing as a beauty queen?
Before the contest, one of the challenges I faced was my anticipation in getting the crown, which involved less sleep, keeping fit for the competition like exercising and beauty therapy. During the contest, which was very competitive, I motivated myself to bring out the best of Neema. Also, adapting to the new role of a beauty queen has been a major challenge because people expect a lot from you.
How did your parents react when you told them you wanted to participate in the pageant?
My parents have always been supportive of my dreams. I also work as a model and have represented big brands in advert campaigns, so they knew I was gunning for something of that nature. They were present at the event to give me all the support I needed.
How did you feel the moment you were announced as the winner?
It was heaven. It was fulfillment of prophecy. It was dream come true. I had always fantasised about this and it was finally a reality. I couldn’t have been happier.

What were you given as reward?
Cash. It wasn’t that much but it’s something reasonable to help me build my brand and do many things.
Did you know you were going to win?
No! I am not a magician, so I couldn’t have. As I said earlier, there were many gorgeous girls at the pageant, so I was actually shocked when I was announced the winner.
You are now a celebrity, do you find it difficult relating with your old friends?
Maybe people consider me as a celebrity but I am not really aware of that. I won a pageant but there are quite a number of pageants. Yes, my winning the crown has made me more popular. I walk by and get a lot of stares and obvious whispers from people, telling their friends ‘look, that’s Miss Fotogenix’. Of course,

Shocking :Father arrested for charging $1,000 for two hours of sex with his four-year-old daughter

We are really at the end times. Some people are monsters and don't deserve to be parents. Undercover Houston police officers were looking through Craigslist ads when they found something shocking in the Casual Encounters section.
An ad titled “Play with Daddy’s Little Girl,” created by 28-year-old Andrew Turley, offered up sex with his daughter in exchange for money.

Officers contacted the man and allegedly exchanged 69 emails with him, through which they learned he was charging $1,000 for two hours of sex with his four-year-old girl.

Upon arriving at the meeting place in an apartment complex, officers discovered:
“‘Lying in the small bed was a 4-year-old girl, identified as a juvenile,’ said a Harris County prosecutor as Turley stood before a judge, listening, in shame. The juvenile ‘appeared to be groggy and under the influence of an unknown substance and in and out of sleep.'”
The little girl was naked under a blanket and it was later determined that she had been drugged with sleeping pills.
Turley was arrested for trafficking a child and compelling prostitution of a minor. He was ordered by a judge not to have any contact with children or internet access. Bond was set at $500,000 per count. If convicted, he will face anywhere from 5 to 99 years in prison.

The 4-year-old girl is now apparently safe with her mother, who didn’t appear to know what Turley was doing.

Shocking :LASG adopts children raped by father’s co-workers

2 children aged three and five, were staying with their father, Ayodele Ekundayo, who worked in a cement factory in the Fagba area of the state. Their father reportedly left the sisters in the care of his five co-workers, who also lived in the factory with him.
The men, whose ages ranged from 24 to 33, allegedly took advantage of the girls and raped them.
Ekundayo said he discovered the rape after his daughters started complaining of pains in their private parts.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Lola Akande, said the children had been rescued from the abusive environment and taken to one of the state’s homes for children for proper rehabilitation and care.

The suspects have since been arrested and paraded by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

In a statement on Thursday, Akande said the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation had taken custody of the victims, and would be responsible for their upkeep and education.
“The ministry is working with the NSCDC to ensure that the perpetrators of the crime do not go scot-free and are prosecuted according to the law of the state,” she added.
She commended the organisation that brought the children’s plight to public attention and urged Lagos residents to be vigilant and report any case of child abuse or domestic violence in their vicinity to the ministry.
The commissioner, promised that the ministry would assist parents whose circumstances made their children easy targets to molestation. She also encouraged parents and guardians to monitor their children's activities all the time.
In regards to the children's father, she said:
“This present administration will assist the victims’ father to be gainfully employed by enrolling him in one of the ministry’s skill acquisition centres to learn a vocation after which he will be empowered to practise the trade upon the completion of his training,” she added.

News News : Finally The LAUTECH Robbery And Rape Suspects Arrested

According to Vanguard ;When students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso stormed major roads in the city to protest continued  robbery attacks on their female hostel and raping the helpless ladies, they did not  in their wildest dreams think that the said robbers could be among them.

The attacks attracted reactions from different groups and even the Oyo State House of Assembly. One of the groups,Women Against Rape, Sexual Harassment and Sexual Exploitation (WARSHE) condemned the serial cases of rape, sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence on students of the institution.

The group described the lawless and inhuman acts as    “brutal, r eckless use of male power and violation of rights of innocents girls.”

In a statement signed by its Programme Officer, Titilope Olanrewaju, the group stated, “It is based on this that WARSHE thereby considers this latest act of the LAUTECH rapists as highly barbaric, inhuman and despicable, particularly in this day and age, when the global community through several international conventions and treaties such as the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women, is united against sexual violence and other forms of assault against women. It is sad that this is happening now.

“WARSHE, therefore, calls on relevant authorities, particularly the Oyo State Government, the local governments which superintend over Ogbomoso and its environs, and security agencies to rise up to live up to their responsibility and stem the activities of this nefarious group and help secure the lives and dignity of these female students. They also need to stem the dehumanization of the male students who are being forced to rape their colleagues…”

In unison, the women  “say No to violation of young women who implicitly trusted the community to protect them when they choose to attend LAUTECH .

Also, in the House of Assembly, lawmaker, Mrs. Bimbo Olawunmi Oladeji who represents Ogbomoso North brought the matter before the House and called on the Legislators to do something urgent about the security situation in Ogbomoso.

She said, “There is general insecurity in Ogbomoso. In recent times, there have been cases of armed robbery attacks and harassment of LAUTECH students. I will urge the house to look into the issue.

“Owing to all these comments, the state Police Command recorded a breakthrough as they arrested three suspects who were alleged to have been involved in the ungodly act. While parading the suspects alongside other suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Leye Oyebade said, “  a 400L male student of the Department of Transport, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso who belonged to a notorious criminal gang nicknamed ‘Three Mopols’ was arrested on 3rd November, 2015 in his criminal hideout by the special anti robbery squad in Oyo/Ogbomoso. “

The gang, according to him, was responsible for breaking into students hostels, stealing valuable property and sometimes raping their female colleagues. But through a diligent and intelligence led policing strategy coupled with collaboration of our strategic partners in the institution, one Kayode Oluwaseyi ‘m’ was arrested.

His arrest and subsequent confession led to the arrest of two criminal receivers – Adeyemi Samuel Taiwo  and Adeyemi Samson Kehinde  who received some of the stolen items. When a search was conducted in the house of Kayode Oluwaseyi, a  HP laptop computer belonging to one of his victims and a toy gun used for robbery operations were recovered. Kayode Oluwaseyi also confessed to have burgled several houses and carried out many robbery operations in the Ogbomoso area
Robberyoperations
When asked what led him into that shameful act, the suspect confessed that it was true he was involved in the constant raids but tried to exonerate his accomplices saying they were not among the gang but that they always bought the stolen goods from him. Also paraded was another alleged notorious criminal who had been responsible for the spate of robberies in the Ajebamidele/Atogun area, Otu and its environs.

The CP said, “ On 1st October, 2015 at about 9pm, one Ibe Ayando resident of Budo Jagun via Otu was attacked by a three man gang of armed robbers when he was riding his motorcycle along the Ajebamidele/Atogun Road.

He was dispossessed of his Bajaj motorcycle by the hoodlums who also inflicted severe machete cuts on him for which he  received medical attention. The report prompted the Police to swing into action hunting for the culprits. The arrest of Demo Sabi, the gang leader and his confessional statement led to the arrest of two other members of the gang.

He added further that   Police-Public partnership in crime prevention and management yielded fruits when an alleged robber was arrested after robbing his victim, Azeez Saheed of his Haojue Suzuki motorcycle on 5th November,2015.

“The victim was returning from his farm at Abu village via Akinmorin, via Oyo on the fateful day when he was attacked by his assailant who had barricaded the road with logs. Though fatally injured with a broken Coca-Cola bottle, the victim raised an alarm which eventually led to the arrest of the fleeing suspect.

The snatched motorcycle with reg No. QV 853 LUY was later recovered from the suspect. The police also hinted thatfor some time now, a criminal gang had been robbing people of their valuables, causing wanton destruction of property, breaking into  shops at markets, maiming innocent people and causing breakdown of law and order at Beere, Mapo and Born Foto areas of Ibadan.

“Through our robust intelligent network and the collaboration of our strategic partners, operatives of the special anti robbery squad, Ibadan, located the criminal hideout of the hoodlums. In a well-coordinated operation that lasted for some hours, four of the robbery suspects were rounded up when planning to carry out one of their deadly operations.

Items allegedly recovered from the suspects include, a  toy gun, seven assorted laptops, thirty four assorted phones, one Olympic camera, one LG TV, one LG Plasma TV, three stabilisers, one GOTV decoder, six different Laptop batteries, and the sum of N126,100.

Nigerians may stone Buhari in the next six months – Apostle Johnson Suleiman

The fire-spitting preacher stated that in frustration, people may resort to stoning the President-Elect elect if they did not see the highly publicized change by the new government.
It could be recalled that Suleiman had predicted the emergence of the All Peoples Congress, APC, candidate but warned that he may not be allowed to rule.
In an interview with Punch, the cleric said: “Let me say this to you. In the next six months, people may stone Buhari. The reason I’m saying this is because the expectation is too high. Nigerians expect Buhari to put gold on their tables. Two, the large chunk of followership Buhari has are youths and young people and they are impatient. Young people don’t believe in progressive change, they want change. When they say change, they see a new picture. And Buhari has been talking from the two sides of the mouth. During campaign, he told us Boko Haram would be a thing of the past. Now, you are President-elect, you are saying people shouldn’t expect a miracle. Are you a pastor? If I wanted a miracle worker, won’t I bring a Mallam or a miracle worker? When you were being voted for, we were not voting for a pastor, so don’t tell us about miracles.

“Like I said, Jonathan will be seen as a hero very soon because that’s the Nigerian story. Anybody who they feel is not doing well, get him out. The next few minutes, they miss this person. If by September, there is still a blink in power, people will start abusing Buhari. You said you were going to do this. Two, who are Buhari’s footmen, the large chunk are ex-PDP people and of course you know, many are still defecting. Nigerian politicians are the most shameless people (I know); they can’t bear hunger. They are defecting now to lobby for offices. If you should check the people around the man, it gives you an idea of where the man is heading.”

Suleiman also shed light on the implications of President Jonathan’s concession, said, I saw him a month before the election and we talked one on one. All I told him was that he wouldn’t win. I personally told Jonathan to concede defeat. I told him he would save a lot of heads if he conceded defeat and left. I saw not less than half a million people without their heads.
“We have a President who has had two problems– he is politically naive and he doesn’t understand the concept of power. We have had a President who has a media team that doesn’t understand what they call ceasefire. I told the President one on one that his media team didn’t manage him well. I told him, he would not come back. I said the other people had not just got the will of the people, they had got the will of some ministers of God in the place of prayer and few of them had contacted certain ministers of God and we had sat down and discovered we needed change”
