This comes months after property worth millions of naira were destroyed as fire razed some shops at the market earlier in the year.

The incident which occurred at 32, Gbajumo street exactly 9:45AM has left everyone in Topsy-turvy as many can’t trace the root.

However, an eye witness speaking with www.newshelm.com correspondent claimed that the fire came up as the manager was trying to operate the power switch.

The fire brigades were unable to access building as a result of the cubicles that were set on the street.
Another witness, Adebanjo Titilayo Ismail, confirmed that the cubicles have caused many damages as he claimed more than three buildings in January were destroyed.

Some marketers claimed they have cried to Governor’s office on different occasion but nothing positive came up rather they received huge amount of threat from Dapo Balogun and Co.

Nonso, a trade and also a victim of the fire outbreak cries out that he just moved into the building and he cannot withstand the pressure as he watched his good burning so he wanted to killed himself.

I Have Not Been To Church In 8 Years -Jesse Jagz

“I have not been to church in eight years and this is the first time I am saying this,” came the shocking admission from Chocolate City Rapper, Jesse Garba Abaga.
Ironically, the 31 year-old was raised in the city of Jos, Plateau State by clergy parents, Pastor Chris G. Abaga, Founder, Chris Abaga Ministries and Mrs Lydia Abaga, a gospel artiste and counselor.

He waxed philosophical about his decision to stay away from Church; “Well, I think it is because I believe that education doesn’t only exist within the boundary of school, education is a separate thing on its own. Same way, God does not just exist only in religious institutions, He exist on His own.”
In a chat on Wednesday at Chocolate City office, Jesse explained further, “Growing up in church and all that…I have come to realize that a relationship with God is what is most important. Church might/ can be defined in so many other ways but as long as God and you is okay…whether you are a Buddhist or whatever. Yeah, I believe God exist but it is we human beings that take religion thing.”
This confession should not come as a surprise to those who have keenly followed the career trajectory of the founder of the indie label, Jagz Nation whom some have described as a ‘rebel.’ The 31 year-old woke one morning and exited from Chocolate City, a record label that was co-run by his brother, M.I Abaga. What emerged from that radical move was his second and most critically-acclaimed studio album entitled Jagz Nation, Vol.1. Thy Nation Come.
“He has a mind of his own,” M.I Abaga once said about his talented producer cum rapper brother.
The singer who has since returned to Chocolate City is due to release a third studio album entitled The Return Of The Gods this September.

Buhari can’t make naira equal to dollar – Nwanyanwu

Dan-Nwanyanwu
The pioneer Chairman of the Labour Party, Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, says Nigerians should face the reality that President Muhammadu Buhari will not meet many of his campaign promises including his pledge to make the naira and dollar to be at par.
Nwanyanwu, who said he is no longer involved in partisan politics, stated this during a chat on Channels Television on Wednesday.
The former labour leader said there was no way the All Progressives Congress would be able to give N5,000 to unemployed youths across the country as promised.
Nwanyanwu said rather than deny that Buhari never made 100-day promises, the APC-led Federal Government should swing into action and start governing Nigeria instead of only probing the past administration.
He said, “The APC and its presidential candidate made a lot of promises during the campaigns. We knew that some of these promises were not realisable. For example, there is no way one naira will be equal to one dollar. I know that without being an economist. There is no way anyone will be paid N5,000 every month. That is also not possible.
“But let us put all those campaign promises aside. We know our country. And we know where we are. And that is why I said that the APC as a political party should realise that the campaigns are over. They should stop defending the indefensible as regards whether they made certain promises or not. You do not learn how to write with your left hand at an old age.
“We have passed that stage, a President has been elected, let us encourage him and be patient with him and then look at the other areas he has to kick-start rather than probing every day. Yes, we are eager to get our stolen money back but at the same time, we want the government to start. What are you doing about unemployment and power?”

A Woman got raped when she tried to sell her virginity for $16k.

Images of the moment a young actress who tried to sell her virginity for $16,000 makes her desperate escape, after she was allegedly raped during the encounter has emerged. The 20-year-old from Azerbaijan, agreed to meet a man she met online in the city of Perm, in central Russia.

Mikhail Dnistrian, 28, paid for her ticket, but when she got there it is alleged that the man she went to see said he had changed his mind, and tried to force her to work as a prostitute. She claims when she refused he beat her up and forced her to pose for erotic pictures before raping her at his flat.

The rapist
She only managed to escape his clutches, it is claimed, by making a rope with sheets to let herself down from the third floor, but fell in the process, fracturing her hip.

Images of her alleged escape were taken by an eye-witness as the girl tried to clamber down the makeshift rope.

Police have arrested Dnistrian.

The woman told police she was on her own as both of her parents had died and she wanted to collect money to develop her acting career.

Dnistrian's girlfriend, who asked not to be named, admitted she was stunned after learning about the accusations, and claimed he had only ever been kind and gentle with her.

The court in Perm has said there are no plans for pursuing a case against her for prostitution or trying to sell her virginity and they are treating her as a victim.

Man dies in his room after having g sex with two prostitutes at Kubwa

Man dies in his room at Kubwa

Kubwa, a satellite town in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was Monday morning thrown into confusion after a man, who allegedly visisted by two women, was found dead in his room at Pipeline area.
According to his neighbours, the deceased, 27, who was simply identified as Bello, took the women who neighbours suspected to be prostitutes, to his room on Sunday night “to have fun.”
City News learnt that the man’s door had to be forced open when he was not seen outside the next morning.
Credible sources told City News that the man, until his death, was always warned by his neighbours to desist from such acts, but all advice fell on deaf ears.
The deceased’s landlord, Mr. Badejo Yekini, who spoke out of annoyance, said: “I think he deserved what he got. He was a chronic womanizer who always derived pleasure in spending a whole night with prostitutes, not caring to know who they really were.”
Yekini advised young men to abhor immorality, saying, “To avoid such occurrences, men of this generation must learn how to control their libido.”
A very close friend of the deceased who spoke on condition of anonymity said he was “saddened” by the development, adding, however, that the incident did not take him by surprise, saying, “I always warned him, but he would not listen.”
All efforts to speak to his siblings proved abortive as they could not be reached at the time of filing this report.
The deceased’s remains were taken to the mortuary at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada by his relatives.

Fake female medical doctor apprehended in Abuja

angelaThe Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), has arrested one Nwosu Angela Njide, an alleged fake female doctor with Rauz Hospital, Apo, Abuja.
According to reports, Njide who is in her 30’s, had worked as a doctor for years, using forged documents. On interrogation, she had confessed to have worked in different places, including the British American Tobacco (BAT) clinic, Ibadan, the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and eventually in Rauz Hospital, Apo, Abuja before she was apprehended.
She claimed to have graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Medical College in 2005, adding that she had her house man-ship programme at the teaching hospital in Nsukka.
he Head of Department of the Inspectorate Unit of the MDCN, Dr Henry Okwuokenye, who carried out the arrest, said the self-acclaimed doctor was asked series of questions but failed the very simple questions any medical student is expected to know.
“The fake doctor’s ordeal began more than a year ago when she went to Oyo State to register for her license to practice at the Ministry of Health under the Oyo State Director, Medical Services.
“Following the refusal of the Oyo State Ministry of Health to register her, she was said to have relocated to Abuja, and audaciously went on her own to the MDCN to register for her license,” Okwuokenye said.
“She came to the council to apply for a new folio number, unique to every practicing doctor in Nigeria, in attempt to get full registration.

“We checked and she was not on the list. She claimed to have graduated from UNN, but we went to verify and we discovered she lied. As at this time, she was on the run.”
Okwuokenye further noted that the impostor had been dodging arrest for more than one year now and the council had been on her tail.
Angela was reportedly arrested on the first day of her new job, which reports say was worth N280, 000 monthly, at a newly opened private hospital in Bwari Area Council in Abuja after her new employees demanded MDCN to verify its new staff doctors. The Ministry officials, however, became suspicious of her qualifications and undoubtedly verified the authenticity of her claims.
Okwuokenye disclosed that the Council, until a few days before her arrest, didn’t have the faintest idea she was working with Rauz Hospital, adding that it was a phantom interview the Council used as a quest to decoy her.
“She eventually fell victim to the bait at Dutse Alhaji in Bwari Municipal Council in FCT,” he added.
“Njide’s arrest makes her the first female fake doctor on the record of the MDCN,” Okwuokeny quipped, adding that “after her arrest, she was reportedly handed over to the police.”

Actor Emeka Ike and his Feud with Pastor Chris Okotie of being behind plot to destroy marriage

Nollywood Actor Emeka Ike has accused the head pastor of household of God Church, Pastor Chris Okotie of being behind the plot to destroy his marriage.

Emeka Ike said he was crying out of desperation because of Okotie act to destroy his marriage.
The actor and his wife, Suzanne, had degenerated so much beyond reconciliation, with the wife filling a divorce suit before a Customary Court in Lagos.

Emeka Ike said he wants to tell the whole world of the devil behind the plot to destroy his marriage and home. After all efforts to beg his wife to drop the divorce had failed.

The actor accused Okotie of hiring a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) for the wife just for the purpose of destroying his home.
He said Okotie gave his wife about N500,000 for her mother's burial and also bought her a blackberry passport phone.
Emeka Ike further said every Sunday, Okotie would call his wife out in church with other single women and ask that gift should be given to them.
He said pastor Okotie with another man helped his wife secure a job without his consent.
Emeka Ike recently had issues in his marriage over a love message which Suzanne sent to him.

According to the statement Emeka Ike said :

“I want people to look into this issue critically. I’ve never beaten this woman in my life. When she ran out of home, I called my pastor and they took us for counselling. For one week, I was begging her every day; I would go home alone and she would go home alone as well.
“At a point, pastor asked us to write five things we like and dislike about each other. The pastor said that maybe we could work it out. I wrote mine, she wrote hers and she never said there that I used to beat her. I still have that document with me. She gave me what she wrote and I gave her what I wrote. If I used to beat her, she could not have left it out from that then. Any man that beats a woman is a coward. I know that someone somewhere must have done something to her. How can I beat a woman I adore so much? I love my family and this is very unfortunate. Her children have been begging her to come home, and she has refused.
“I am pretty sure my wife is acting confused; she is acting as if she is under a spell, which is psychological and then she is acting under blackmail.
“There was a time I accused her of bringing men to my house. I mean, which woman will wake her husband up in the middle of the night and said to him, share your property I want to get my share now from what you have? Tell me, which woman will do that if not acting under a spell?
“There was a time I travelled and she closed down my school and sent all the students away. So, there is a lot to it, other than the allegation of battery against me and I want the whole world to know. My name is precious to me and I don’t want anything to drag it in the mud.
“Pastor Chris Okotie just absolved my wife into his church without making any effort to get in touch with me. If as a pastor, your church member is having issue with her husband, and you failed to do anything to resolve it, what kind of pastor are you? When I called him, he refused to pick my call. He also failed to react to a text message I sent to him. Is that a man of God? Even, if you have a police case, they will make effort to hear from you before taking a position, not to talk of the church.

“When we went to court, I told my wife that I’m interested in amicable settlement of the matter, and that I still want her back. But she refused. Even, if you don’t want me, what of your children, I asked her and she still would not listen to me. I want the whole world to know because there is a lot of misinformation out there. The lawyer which Okotie hired for my wife is also frustrating every attempt I make to resolve the matter peacefully,” he narrated.

We contacted, Pastor Chris but he did not pick the calls made to him, he also did not respond to text message sent to him as at the time.

The president assured Nigerian youth that his government’s anti-corruption campaign would secure their future.

In an address to members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) who marched to the presidential villa to pledge their full support for his anti-corruption campaign, President Buhari promised that he will do his best to place Nigeria well on the way to becoming the nation of their dreams.

“Everything you have asked for are the things that will make for a good country, and what we are after is a good country, a country where our youths can have a future and a hope,” the president said.

Doctor disappears after going outside for fresh air

Dr. Adedayo Adewumi

Relatives of 29-year-old graduate of Anatomy, Dr. Adedayo Adewumi, have been thrown into confusion following his disappearance.
It was gathered that Adedayo, a first time visitor to Lagos, went missing on August 27 after he step out of the house for fresh air.
The family told our correspondent that Adedayo came to Lagos State from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on August 22 and was staying with some family members on Alawode Street, Kilo, in the Surulere area of the state.
Adedayo was said to have stepped out of the house on the fateful day for fresh air after a power outage. He was said to have left the house without his cell phone.
His father, a retired engineer with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Ademola Adewumi, told our correspondent that he was worried because the missing man was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2006 while studying Medicine at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.
Schizophrenia is defined by the dictionary of Medicine as a mental disorder often characterised by abnormal social behaviour and failure to recognise what is real.
According to the dictionary, common symptoms include false beliefs, unclear or confused thinking, auditory hallucinations, reduced social engagement and emotional expression, and lack of motivation. The disorder is thought to mainly affect the ability to think. People with schizophrenia are likely to have additional conditions, including major depression and anxiety disorders.
The condition is said to have posed a lot of challenges to Adedayo when he was a student of Medicine. Unable to cope with Medicine, he had to change to Anatomy.
His father, Ademola, said, “I suspect he is wandering around or languishing somewhere by now. We have gone to all the police stations in our area and beyond. But my major worry is that if there is a case of accident or wrongful arrest, the police will be able to tell, but they may overlook a case of a man wandering aimlessly.
“I have his medical records with me. He has been treated six times for the condition, but always had a relapse. However, since he graduated in 2012, there had been an improvement. That was why we suggested a visit to Lagos hoping that the change of environment will help.”
Adedayo was said to be the eldest of three boys. His younger brother, Adeshina Adewumi, a banker with a commercial bank in Lagos, said Adedayo had bouts of depression in the past, it made him to disconnect from people and to stop using his phones, adding that there had been an improvement in his condition following his graduation and the end of the National Youth Service Corps.
He said, “While in school, he was often depressed. But when he finished school, his condition improved. Since then, he has always been in a guided environment.
“Shortly before he came to Lagos, he fell into depression again and my father suggested that he should come to Lagos with the hope that the change of environment would lighten him up.
“He did not have any disagreement with anybody, he was happy to come to Lagos. In fact, a day before he went missing, he was planning to go with me to Lekki.”
The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Patricia Amadin, promised to get back to our correspondent on the matter.
She, however, had yet to do so as of press time.

Very terrible moment when Mob of villagers tie up pregnant woman and savagely beat her

The horrific moment a young mum-to-be is tied up and savagely beaten in China because she is suspected of being a thief.
A shocking video, which has emerged on social media in China, shows the pregnant woman tied to a pole with her hands behind her back.

She is only just conscious, and a man can be seen pulling her hair, while another kicks her in the face as she slumps to the ground.
The incident took place on August 29 in a village near Taizhou city, eastern China, reports Bowen Press .
The woman, known only as Ms Lu, was subjected to the brutal assault because people in the village thought she was a habitual thief, reports suggest.
