Hello guys,
Breaking news :Former CNN Anchor Lynne Russell’s Husband Kills Robber During Shocking Attack
Former CNN anchor Lynne Russell and her husband, Chuck de Caro, were approached by a man with a gun in Albuquerque, and Chuck wound up killing the man after he opened fire!
This is one crazy story. Lynne Russell, a former anchor at CNN, was confronted by a man with a gun in the parking lot of a Motel 6 in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 30 — and her husband, Chuck de Caro, was forced to kill the robber in self defense!
Lynne opened up about the scary ordeal to an Albuquerque news station, recalling how the man approached her in the parking lot when she went out to her car to retrieve something around 11:30 p.m. “The man pushed me inside, I was airborne, literally,” she explained. “And I landed on the bed, and that was about the time that Chuck came out of the shower. The man was just wild. He was pointing the gun, and the way that he was acting, it was as if he’d done it before.”
Luckily, in this instance, Lynne and Chuck both legally carry guns, and when the robber fired his weapon, Chuck was able to fire back. Police say both men fired multiple rounds, and when they found the robber in the parking lot, he was dead at the scene. Crazy!
Sadly, Chuck was also injured in the attack — Lynne said he was hit three times. He had to have surgery at the University of New Mexico hospital, but is expected to fully recover. “I’m very proud of my husband,” Lynne gushed. “He saved my life.”
Lynne anchored CNN Headline News from 1983 until 2001, while Chuck works as an investigative reporter. Both reporters both have background in law enforcement, which obviously came in handy on Tuesday. Our thoughts are with Chuck as he heals, as well as with Lynne as she tries to move on from this scary ordeal.
