A 3-year-old girl has died after her mother ran her over Friday night in the parking lot of a North Richland Hills apartment complex, police said.
Brionne McChriston was pronounced dead at 9:16 p.m. at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.
Brionne and two other children got out of a car around 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Emerald Park Apartments in the 8300 block of Emerald Hills Way. Brionne’s mother didn’t see the girl walk in front of her car as she started to pull forward, said North Richland Hills police spokesman Keith Bauman.
Police are still investigating the incident, but no charges have been filed against the mother, Bauman said.
“It just appears that it was an accident,” he said.
