HUSBAND turns vampire. Such is the story of Bulawayo couple that stays in Nkulumane where the husband reportedly went wild and bit his wife all over the body before sucking her blood.
Lovemore Khumalo(420) who is a member of Zvishamiso Zvinoyera Church of Christ allegedly assaulted his wife Anita Khumalo(45) before sucking her blood.
The woman got in trouble with her husband after she disturbed him during his morning prayers where he was uttering vulgar language while praying.
Khumalo was not amused by his wife's behaviour and as a result meted instant justice before feasting on her blood.The helpless woman was saved by one of the tenants who heard her screaming for help as he managed to push away the possessed Khumalo.The woman and her children managed to escape from the vampire in the house baying for their blood.
Khumalo appeared before the magistrate Tancy Dube facing charges of attempted murder, physical abuse and malicious damage to property. The court heard that Khumalo woke up around 2am to pray. While in prayer, his wife disturbed him.
The angry Khumalo then beat her with clenches fists before biting her on the arms and behind the left ear where he then sucked her blood.She was saved by one of the tenants at the house who came and pushed him away from her. All the family members then ran away.
In the morning, Khumalo brutally attacked his neighbours Ezekias Moyo and Siboniswe Dube with a shovel.Moyo was at his fields when an unidentified woman, who was being chased by Khumalo ran and hid behind him.Khumalo snatched the shovel from Moyo and struck him several times on the head resulting in him falling unconsious.
Later in the day, the seemingly possessed Khumalo also attacked Dube with a shovel by striking her several times on the head.
The two victims, Moyo and Dube are admitted at Mpilo Central Hospital's intensive care unit.
Khumalo is alleged to have processed to destroy his neighbour Chelesani Ndlovu's property where the tenant who had rescued his wife had fled to.The court heard that Khumalo is alleged to have thrown stones at the house and broke Ndlovu's two panes, a door and a two plate stove.
Khumalo wa remanded in custody.
