A Harare man reportedly gave his wife a thorough hiding after she denied him sex.
William Madanire allegedly demanded the money he paid as lobola from his wife Diana saying the money was meant to buy sex.
Diana told Harare Civil Court magistrate Ms Gamuchirai Siwardi on Monday that William sexually abused her and would force her to bed him or risk being assaulted.
She was seeking a protection order against William.
“He assaults me and is forcefully having sexual intercourse with me even when I am not in the mood,” Diana said.
“If I refuse he assaults me and demands the money he paid as lobola saying he paid the money so that he would have sex whenever he wanted. He also assaults me in front of our children. He once followed me to church and assaulted me in front of the congregation.
“He even assaults me for refusing to give him money to buy cigarettes and he insults me using obscene words. I want the court to stop him from assaulting me especially for refusing to have sex with him because he sexually abuses me,” she said.
William did not oppose his wife’s application for a protection order but told the court that he no longer abused her.
“I am not opposed to her application but some of the things she is saying happened a long time ago,” he said. “I have never abused her this time.”
Ms Siwardi ordered William to stop sexually abusing his wife and respect her as his wife.
In a separate case, another woman yesterday cried at the Harare Civil Court pleading with the magistrate to order her husband to have sex with her.
Margaret Makusha could not hold back her tears while telling magistrate Ms Gamuchirai Siwardi that her husband, Joseph, denies her sex.
She said she was being sex-starved and could not live without enjoying it every day.
Margaret, who was seeking a protection order against Joseph Makusha, told the court that he assaulted her whenever she begged him to have sexual intercourse with her saying he was tired.
“He is my husband and he refuses to have sexual intercourse with me,” she said.
“He comes home late and when I ask for sex, he assaults me saying that he is tired and needs to rest. He said I should behave myself but he is starving me because I cannot live without sex. I no longer know if he is still my husband.
“The other thing is that we tested HIV positive and he is telling everyone that I am positive. I also think that he has girlfriends who satisfy him sexually.
“That is why he is starving me. Your Worship, I just want him to have sex with him as my husband,” Margaret said.
Joseph refuted the allegations. He told the court that Margaret was too demanding and would not give him time to rest.
“I dispute all what she has said,” Joseph said. “I have never refused to have sex with her but sometimes I would be tired and she forces me.”
“Maybe she is not satisfied with what I am giving her,” he said.
Ms Siwardi postponed the matter to today for ruling.

OMG !!! 32-year-old Man Rapes Own Mother
The man, from Cowdray Park suburb, appeared before Magistrate Abednico Ndebele charged with raping his biological mother.
The incident happend on January 18 at the mother’s house in Nkulumane suburb.
The rape suspect, a mechanic who cannot be named to protect the identity of his mother, was not asked to plead but told the court that his mother was framing him.
“I didn’t do it your worship. I don’t know why she is saying I raped her. When she is fighting with my father, she gets me involved in their issues for no reason at all,” he said before he was remanded in custody to February 10.
The man’s mother, in a statement to the police, said her son came into her room while she was sleeping and raped her.
“He came into my room at around 7PM and shouted at me when I asked who had entered. He then jumped into my blankets and slept on top of me.
“He had sexual intercourse with me without using protection. I did not refuse or scream because I feared for my life as he has assaulted me before,” said the mother.
Prosecuting, Mufaro Mageza told the court that on January 18 at around 7PM, the man went to his mother’s home and found her asleep.
“Accused jumped into the blankets and got on top of the complainant who was wearing a petticoat. Accused had sexual intercourse with the complainant once without her consent. The matter was reported to the police leading to the arrest of the accused,” said Mageza.
The prosecutor said the mother was referred to Mpilo Central Hospital and a medical report can be produced in court as an exhibit.

EFCC operative batters teenage canteen attendant, after impregnating her
According to PMNews, there was a show of shame recently at the Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, premises of the EFCC, after Okeke Edward, who works as an exhibit keeper with the EFCC, allegedly battered Blessing Nwokpa, a 19-year old canteen attendant, he allegedly impregnated.
Blessing was a canteen attendant at the EFCC premises and was living with Edward as a squatter. Edward, who refused to take responsibility for the pregnancy, allegedly offered her money to terminate it, but Blessing refused. For her stubbornness, she became an object of battering and assault by him. .
She was subsequently thrown out of his house at 23, Akinseji street, Fadeyi. Now 7 months pregnant, Blessing became homeless and could not feed herself after she was sacked from the canteen when she became pregnant. Frustrated by Edwards action, she went to his office to request for money for feeding and antenatal care. .
But when Edward sighted her, he descended on her and battered her to the extent that she collapsed and was later rescued by some senior officers. Following the assault, Blessing went to the Legal Aids Council of Nigeria to report the matter.
Blessing said Edward was the one who offered to accommodate her after seeing her sleeping inside the canteen when her brother, whom she was staying with, had accommodation problem. She alleged that during the night, Edward would lure her into sex and eventually deflowered her and impregnated her.
She said when she informed Edward about it and he became angry and gave her N18,000 to go and abort the pregnancy but she refused. She lamented that she starves daily and she was not asking him to marry her rather, she wants him to take care of the pregnancy and after she delivers, she would look for ways to move on with her life. .
She said people directed her to Legal Aids Council to complain and seek their assistance, but when the Legal Aids Council invited Edward to settle the matter, he told them that he would not come and boasted that nothing would happen.
Diploma holder arrested for sexually assaulting an 8-month pregnant woman
34-year-old Samuel Onochie, who says he bagged a diploma in law from a university in Benin, Edo State, allegedly sexually assaulted the woman at about 6a.m on Sunday, while she was passing through an area at Jakande, Lekki, Lagos.
He ambushed her and reportedly threw her on the floor, before stripping her wrapper. He had dipped his finger into her private part and was about to penetrate her when a man was drawn to the scene by her wailing.
The man was said to have held Onochie, while Esther rushed to the Ilasan Police Division to report the incident. He was arrested and arraigned before a Tinubu Magistrates Court, yesterday, on one count of sexual assault.
He pleaded not guilty and the presiding magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum, before adjourning the case till March 14, 2016.

Story of maltreatment of a young maid in Kaduna (photos)
"I met this little girl who happens to be a maid for a certain family in my neighborhood here in Mahuta District, before Refinery junction, Kaduna South. This little poor girl is named Veronica Beatrice, 12yrs. She is from Bacca Local Govt in Jos.
She is in serious pain out of the maltreatment she receives from her madam. According to the girl, she said that her madam stopped her from going to school for 3days now just because she took some bread after her madam gave her a small piece that she ate and she was still hungry, so she decided to collect more.
When her madam returned back home and found out, she gave her the beating of her life and asked her to do frog jump, dig her own grave and made her carry mutter (used in pounding fufu) on that same hand that she used in digging her grave.
According to the girl the name of her madam is Omolara, and the husband's name is David Kelvin and the husband is from Jos too.
This is child abuse in the on the highest level and I pray the appropriate government organization to take up this case and come to the aid of this poor little girl.

MASHUDU Mavhona is living a lonely life of hell.
The 47-year-old from Atteridgeville in Tshwane told Daily Sun her ex-boyfriend put a spell on her and she has been living in pain and shame ever since.
She said there was a snake inside her, eating her!
Mashudu said she couldn’t work because the snake moved in her head and stomach, causing unbearable pain. She said she was forced to lie in bed all day.
Mashudu said things started going wrong when she separated from her lover two years ago.
“I found out he was cheating on me and I dumped him. Ever since then, I have been in pain every day,” she said.
“If no one helps soon, I will die. I have seen sangomas, doctors and even prophets. They said they didn’t see anything wrong with me.”
However, one prophet told Mashudu someone had sent an evil spirit to make her suffer for the rest of her life.
“I’ve turned to Daily Sun because I’ve seen how people get helped by SunReaders. I need help before it’s too late,” she said.
Traditional Health Practitioners Council chairman Bigboy Mudau said the evil spirit wanted to see Mashudu living without a man or a proper job.
“People like her have short tempers. She must consult a strong sangoma before it’s too late. The spirit is very dangerous and can cause madness,” he said.

Kwaku Bonsam went on to say that his god is called Kofi-Kofi, and he fortifies him with supernatural powers which he in turn provides to pastors across Africa.

The sad report came that a 9-year-old girl was raped to death by yet to be identified persons in Elele Community of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The girl whose name was simply given as Miracle was abducted at about 5 pm on Wednesday, 13 January by yet to be identified rapists while returning from an errand for her mother.
Eyewitnesses said that her mother had sent her to buy some food stuffs for her within the busy Elele Roundabout, but she never returned.
After waiting endlessly, the worried mother had to raise the alarm and ran into their streets calling for help in case if anyone might have seen her. A search party that was organized that night could not locate her.
However, the girl’s lifeless body was later found early in the morning of Thursday, 14 January within the vicinity of her family house.
A family source said that they woke up from sleep on the morning of Thursday, 14 January to behold the lifeless body of Miracle with blood all over her nose, mouth and private part.
Some Residents in the area are insinuating that she might have been used for ritual.It was later found out that the elder brother to the late Miracle belongs to a cult group and has been in the custody of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad since last December last year.
There are insinuations that her death may be connected to a revenge by a rival cult group. The Rivers Police Command is yet to react to the gruesome murder of the innocent minor… over her death

Prepare For Hard Times Ahead… CBN Warns
The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria has warned Nigerians to brace for a longer period of low revenue from oil sources, which would necessitate hard and uncomfortable choices.
The committee, at the end of its first meeting for 2016 in Abuja, observed that while the period of low oil prices, which started in 2005, lasted for a maximum of eight months, the current situation was expected to continue over a longer period of time.
The CBN Governor. Mr. Godwin Emefiele, further disclosed that
the development would necessitate huge sacrifices from Nigerians. Crude oil prices had declined from a peak of $114 barrel in July 2014 to $30.25 per barrel on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.
The CBN governor said since oil prices is on a steady decline, certain trade-offs would have to be envisaged and accommodated.
He said, “Consequently, it is imperative to brace for a longer period of low government revenues from oil sources, which would necessitate hard and uncomfortable choices as the economy transits to more sustainable sources of revenue, consistent with the economic realities and strategic objectives of the country. In the circumstance, certain trade-offs must be envisaged and duly accommodated.”
He added, “Consequently, the bank is fine-tuning the framework for foreign exchange management with a view to ensuring a more effective and liquid foreign exchange market, taking into account Nigeria’s strategic development priorities, with the policies being designed within an environment of regularly ensuring consistency with monetary and fiscal policies.”
He continued, “To this end, the committee once again urged the Deposit Money Banks to improve lending to the real sector as part of their patriotic obligations to the country, and enjoined the management of the central bank to continue to explore ways of incentivising lending to employment and growth-generating sectors, particularly the SMEs.”
Asked if CBN would consider forcing the banks to lend to the real sector, Emefiele stated that inasmuch as it would prefer that the DMBs should increase lending to the real sector, it would be practically impossible to force them to do so due to the fact that the banks were established to make profit.
Emefiele further revealed that, “We don’t have any immediate plan to devalue the naira. However, we are already working on different scenarios; the models are being worked on.”
On the introduction of the N50 stamp duty charge, Emefiele explained that the decision was taken to support the Muhammadu Buhari government in its bid to generate more revenue due to the drop in oil prices, and build some very important infrastructures that would be beneficial to all Nigerians.
